Agreed. Never been a big CJ fan so this suits me fine. Plays the part well and I have no intention of replacing it.

Plus all that red paint is gorgeous.

It's his arms. If they were longer it'd pretty much be spot on.

    It's kinda funny.

I just broke down and bought this guy from Uncle Billy for $40. I never even knew hex existed until someone posted a picture of him in the MMC Hellion thread. I must say I am underwhelmed by both X-Transbots Toro and MMC Hellion for either fake chests or tiny arms. Someone then posted a picture of Tumbler with a 3D printed face and I thought it looked fantastic.

At first I thought the picure was a digibash of multiple products, but then realized he actually existed. After doing research I see that he has ALOT of problems and is floppy with a backpack that doesn't tab in. But at Uncle Billy's price of $40, I can live with those shortcomings as I don't see him VISUALLY looking worse than Toro and Hellion. Again I stress visually........as NONE of them COMPLETELY knock it out of the park.

Tumbler's red paint and an Autobot logo on his chest remind me of G1 CLiffjumper.

The only question I have now, is can anyone point me to the guy who 3D-printed a head for TUmbler that looks FANTASTIC. I want to find out if anyone else has it and their thoughts?

There's 3 heads that come with Tumblr, one of them is actually very good. I'm not sure why people overlook it.

Besides the look torso and neck hinges, he's actually a really good figure. It's fully painted a nice gloss red, strong diecast. Some of the plastic pegs feel a bit weak but are strong to connect, I would worry about multiple transformations but in vehicle mode he is perfect.

also, the packaging is the best 3rd party packaging I've seen.

I liked him for what I wanted of a MP scale Cliffjumper. Beyond the three Datsuns, I don't like to have mold brothers from the same company. Buying them from different sources (for instance I have BadCube Trailbreaker and XTB Hoist) provides just enough variety to give each bot it's own identity.

Cliffjumper though...well I wanted him to be as near identical, as feasibly possible, to Bumblebee while taking into account the different alt modes. I don't know if it goes back to the whole Bumblejumper thing or what but it was the vision in my mind's eye when I think Cliffjumper and Bumblebee.

This being a partial reshell or whatever he is fits the bill to a tee. One of the additional heads looks like a modified Bumblebee head and the limbs between the shoulders, forearms and then again between the hips and lower legs look to all be modified versions of MP Bee.

I managed to get my copy for nothing but an additional week and half wait time on a separate order from BBTS. I had ordered several bots including FT Tesla and then when the order came in...well it wasn't mine. Tesla was sold out (mine was apparently the last) and missing in limbo. All I could do was hope whoever received it would return it. Ultimately I got my order, complete, and for the trouble BBTS gave me a 50.00 store credit which when combined with some Thanksgiving/Christmas sale shenanigans netted me Tumbler and the Machine Robo Cy-Kill for zilch.

Can you place a pic of the head you think is great. I want to see because I am considering getting a guy (goes by"Monologi o robotach") to make a custom head for him (the same designer that did the custom head for the red MP Bee).

At any rate to me this looks better than both Toro (Xtransbots - fake chest) and Hellion (MMC tiny arms), and netiher look to satisfy me. THis has the LOOK. It may not be a great toy, but it DEFINITELY captures the character in poses.

I wish this one had his signature front hood air intake on the alt-mode.

This mold was just not quite spot on enough for a character like Cliffy who IMO was major... but for Hubcap I eagerly grabbed it at that price... and you know what? I was perfectly satisfied. I do think that the wonky lroportions look less bad with all black limbs as opposed to grey.

Poor Cliff looks like he really let himself go. Needs to do some serious cardio to work off that gut.

If only this had a better head sculpt. Still not a bad figure overall.
I like the alt mode especially.

Personally I didn't like any of the headsculpts, yes some are better than others but none were good enough for me. Afraid I don't remember seeing a 3D printed head.

Mine was floppy and cheap-feeling. A better head would help but honestly I wouldn't recommend this guy to anyone, no matter how they feel about the alternatives. It's actually worse in hand IMO.

Only positive is that it's nice and shiny in alt mode. Robot mode is bleccchhh.

It's not just that. The design is crappy. He turns into a floppy mess everywhere even when just stood on a shelf. Reeks of quick cash in.

I am actually looking into getting another head from a guy who made them for the red version of MP-Bee. You can see a picture of it on his youtube video below......

My guess is he'll never see the light of day based on the first 2 figures only selling with extreme discounts. I hate to say it, as that was the winner of the Seaspray war IMO.

In a weird way I'm glad to see everyone else liking these guys well enough. I got both of them on sale (and as you can imagine by my sig I was delighted to have a MP Hubcap finally) and I like them! They suffer from the same "slightly big chest" problem MP Bumblebee does due to the vehicle mode proportions, but I can pretend it was a Hausi-era design decision and live with it. :D
