That looks fantastic - and really has hit home to me how good this may look in colour, good work sir.

Still flogging that dead horse??? :horse: :banghead: :banghead:  As myself and several others have tried to explain to you politely, and in great detail, 'what you remember' is not the complete picture of 'what actually happened' regarding Grapple's design. His design has nothing to do with fan feedback on Inferno.

You're welcome to that opinion, however I think you'll find many fans are buying into it! :)

    Urrr...?

If you consider Akom's wacky colouring an error, it's already a thing, dude! Check out MP 40! :)

Not sure I follow your distinguishing a difference between goof and error.

This is true but all these are add-ons/accessories/swappable items like MP-29's gun like I mentioned. Not figure design as the person I replied to was inferring TT may design around in the future.

The foot doesn't look like it is totally collapsed. The gap was one of my gripes, but I think it won't be as bad in hand. The proto's feet are collapsed, and the gap is barely there. I think it'll be ok.

Just a matter of taste at this point then, because I really think these things look beautiful, better than I could've ever imagined a cartoon homage Optimus, Megatron, Sunstreaker, Grapple, or Inferno would look if someone told me this was eventually going to be a thing back in 1984. I understand grievances about fake parts (I don't mind them) and I understand that some fans want their robots loaded up with surface detailing, but I'm the opposite. I've always loved the edited down look (Mike Mignola's one of my favorite artists, if that says anything). It doesn't look simple or boring to me at all. Actually makes robots/tech look sleeker, more advanced, and puts greater emphasis on the bigger picture: the shapes & proportions. Something I've said many times, too, is that I love how they still have realistic alts, while the higher parts count & more complex engineering provides more real seams, panels, hinges, etc. Real transformers detailing!

We're not sure yet - complete fakery or transforming in some way. To avoid repeating myself...

Yeah, there's lots of outright hate for the cartoon in this fandom, so I think you're exactly right. I've always loved it, though, and think it's often unfairly derided. Even as a kid when I really ended up getting into the TF toys I'd still imagined they looked like the guys on the TV. Couldn't be happier that that's what we're now getting!

Anyone got a rough idea how long it'll be till TT release some actual photos or a model that the public can photograph?

I see what you're suggesting, but the more I compare the bot to the truck, the more I think that the entire bot windows are underneath the truck windows in alt mode. The whole area around the truck windows is different, the hinges, the edges of the panels, and it really looks like the narrower bot chest is inside that shell. Really think the truck windows and roof might be on an armature like Shockwaves', and they lift up and back, folding up into a backpack. I could very well be wrong, though! Can't wait to find out.

I love Inferno's legs and Grapple's legs as they are both accurate to the animation models. Lots of fans love them too. You should just give it a rest. You've made your dislike for the toon aesthetic very clear.

Just don't let us catch you buying V3 or a cheap KO of V3, no matter how awesome the reviews are.

Yeah, just looking at the pictures itself would tell anyone the transformation is different than that of MP-10...which is really close to the G1 transformation. I know my interest is piqued :D  But that begs the question of whether or not they're going to do all the color variations (Powered Convoy, White cab for Magnus, Sleep Convoy, Black Convoy, Shattered Glass, another EVA Convoy, and...the BAPE colors). My wallet is afraid.

You could well be right. The main reason I was falling slightly on the transforming windows side is the splits all around the frame - if the truck windows 'simply' move to the back couldn't that be simpler? But then even if the truck windows move to the back, they still need to collapse in width, so that alone could explain the splits and seams. Need more pics!

Wait what? That's insanity talk they are giving us more then ever now! MP-43 Beast Wars Megatron, & Optimus Prime 1984 what we can assume is MP-44, MP-10G AND 4 other Golden Lagoon Transformers! And MP-41 Dinobot is getting released end of next month.

Actually I think it looks more like the Golden Lagoon did. Which was 2 tone gold/yellow, from the animation glare.

Not really. Maybe in numbers.. But Takara is succeeding where third parties are not. Third parties, for most part, just don't have the 3D modeling and transformation magic Takara has. Then again Takara needs to step back up their quality & stop letting 3P do them in with better ratchets plastic and joints

Plot twist.. what if the fake chest is so that we can swap out battle damaged parts? Or would you swaglords rather fork out another 200 bucks for a battle damage retool?

Man, i think i'm the only parasyte here that always thought that a cartoon accurate Prime would look better than what MP-10 was trying to be.

Thanks. I was hoping we'd get something sooner as they have a prototype but oh well.
