I'd be surprised if that were actually true

I'm not sure we can use voice actors to say it's not Starscream. This is the same series that changed up voice actors for Megatron so it's not out of the question to get new voice actors in the robot roles.

Yes. Unless you've been told what happens by Optimus_Prowl what he knows from the early screening, nobody knows what happens to the jet guy.

However, Optimus_Prowl also said that jetguy is not Starscream, hence why people think it could be a movie version of Ramjet and his seeker shape is an homage.

No. Hence why the diecast Dino was called Mirage. He was called Miraj on the original script. To keep things secret Michael Bay codenamed him Dino after the name of the son of Enzo Ferrari. During the shooting, Michael Bay ended up loving the codename. But there was no time for Hasbro to change the packaging.

Bumblebee movie items are already in circulation. Last items of the line will begin their distribution on early July.

In part I hope it is Starscream, this design really suits him I think. It won't bother me if it turns out to be someone else though, Starscream has a lot going for him already in this franchise so maybe this Phantom could make another name famous. And Starscream has to survive until DOTM so at least if it's someone else we won't know their fate until we see the movie.

People seem to be making educated guesses based on the colour scheme but I'm surprised it's mostly just Ramjet getting mentioned and not other reddish flyers like Thrust and Windblade.

Starscream would make sense since this is a prequel and he was on Earth at the same time Bee was. I'm not even paying attention to his color scheme for 2 reasons

    1. Very few of the movie bots had the same G1 colors

    2. He could change his mold at any time like Bee and Prime did and very well may be able to change his color scheme as well

We are dealing with a franchise based around selling toys- If they can sell ramjet or a more obscure seeker via this movie, they will do it, because people will buy any Starscream toys that come out regardless. It also makes sense from a storytelling/lore perspective, Starscream is the second in command- having an underling do the dirty work of tracking down and fighting the autobot scouting parties is a pretty common story trope. Seeing as this is a spin-off/prequel fleshing out minor decepticons is generally a good idea.

The only problem with this being Starscream is that he's literally the second in command. He completely wiped the floor with both the humans and the autobots in the first movie. So why would he need several other decepticons to take down Bumblebee, the one who he later disposes of and cripples in one shot? As funny to watch as Prime Starscream was, I don't want the pathetic, cowardly failiure to become the archetype.

Again you mean. There were some winning scenes from the first cartoon that illustrate that that was the archetype, and Prime's version of Starscream, although more overt and flamboyant- was actually actually a far more competent and menacing character than the first version of him. I agree though, sinister Starscream beats out any other version.

I kind of want the conflicted warrior Starscream from Armada to get another crack at the whip. He was by no means deep - indeed the only deep thing about that show was the level of contempt its fans had for Rad and Carlos - but its an interesting direction for him.

The reason I don't think it's Starscream is that he's an F-4 rather than an F-15. That's it.

That said, seeing comparison pics of Starscream and this guy make me see the similarities a lot more! And he looks amazing and I want the Studio Series toy of him.

I hope we get an F-15 Starscream in the next movie.

Didn't realise that was the reason for the name change; it was made to seem that Ferrari insisted on them using the name Dino (and the code name was Enzo).
