Does anyone know how to remove that cover to get to the shoulder screw on a KBB Skywarp? I can't pry it off. Do they glue these on?

Are you sure that's true? I thought they matched with KBB just fine. Any pics?

Pretty sure, I checked this out when i got my KBBs about a year ago. See here... KBB = MP4 Skywarp colours and YM and KFC is based of MP11 Skywarp colours.

OK so that means that the KFC seeker hands are not a good color match for KBB Starscream and Skywarp. The KFC Thundercracker/Ramjet hands should be a good color match for KBB Thundercracker/Thrust/Ramjet since their hands are just black, correct?

That's the theory. There can't be that many shades of black for robot toys, surely. I also remember someone saying the wrist posts are larger on the KBB so more sanding is needed.

    Speaking of hands......
I have a hand that’s not flushed with the it’s wrist (see the gap). Plus it’s not even plugged in straight.....any ideas how to fix? The hand belongs to YM Skywarp.

Or perhaps those who have switch their Skywarp hands for KFC hands still have their old one? ;) :)

    Thanks

Just gotta chime in after my experience with KBB Thundercracker. I can’t recommend him.

Shortly after getting him a few months ago, with normal posing, fingers on one hand broke off.

I just sold him on eBay and while transforming him to ship, his other hand broke and one leg snapped off at the peg. Had to tell the buyer and cancel the sale. Gonna be looking to sell him cheap now as a junker and take a total loss. Conversely I have A yes Model Starscream and just sold a YM Skywarp, both are top quality.

Don't suppose we can convince YM to do a round of Hasbro deco?

Psssssshhhhh.... how about them convincing themselves to finally do and release the decos they (I think both) promised & advertised YEARS ago (purple, dark green, etc). I think this might’ve even been when KBB was going by BBQ or something like that.

The closest thing to that is YM's panel lined YM03 Coronation Starscream which is in Hasbro Walmart MP-03 colors.
Supposedly YM is doing a cell chaded MP-11 Starscream next. I believe ShowZ's website has it available for preorder.

So, checking in, has the QC of KBB's Seekers gotten better? I remember a lot of breakage on "early" releases and that has kept me away from them and has me eyeing the YES ones. While nearly identical, the KBB ones have that 5mm port on their wings, I want that.

Probably won't change your mind, but in the YM seekers you can tuck the null rays in tight and put the missiles in their ports, and it looks pretty cool on display.

Well, my interest has just peaked.

Add that to the cell shaded Optimus and the rumoured cell shaded Megatron - they're my ideal MP collection.

The cell shaded KO MP-36 has been confirmed. It will come from Infinite Transformation, who made the well built, high quality MP-36 KO, IT-01.

Can anyone attest to the quality of these KO flightstands? Was thinking about just painting one of the YM ones with gunmetal primer and doing some weathering, but these look alright

So this was a fairly scary experience...came out of the box with no damage, but the finish was kinda dirty. However a lot of the dust and gunk just came off with a bit of polishing. Was not prepared for how tight the figure was compared to Greenscream - I'm guessing either that GS was a dud, that BB7 make tighter tolerances than YM, or that it's just down to the amount of paint on the figure.

There are a few tiny paint errors, but the worst is probably that the left shoulder piece is visibly less purple than the right and it's a little blotchy in a certain light. Still a fantastic figure, tho.
