I like the direction of the robots so far. More nostalgic. At least for a guy that grew up in the eighties.

 

Whatever the damn jet's name is... he better have a freaking sweet Voyager class toy.

 

The form where they have vehicle kibble that gives them personality is what i meant by bland. Otherwise it's an alien robot who you wouldn't recognize unless there name was spoken.

 

He still oversees things, so might as well ask what Daredevil, Luke Cage and the rest are doing when Spider-Man is around.

 

I really hope this trailer is a reflection of the movie, it's very refreshing.

 

That's literally Armada Screamer. That ain't Skywarp, THAT IS STARSCREAM.

 

It took a long time but they finally have the perfect meld of bayformers, and g1. Starscream ( this movie takes place before his death so I’m decently sure it’s him) looks amazing! At least one decepticon will have color and stand out. Bee is looking sharper than ever and I love the robot mode on him, and if I’m not mistaken, he’s got a smaller stature this time around. It appears he’ll have real character in this one, and won’t just be the punchline for a few juvenile jokes. I enjoyed this trailer so much, I even laughed at the rickroll. Maybe I’m being too optimistic, but I legitimately want to see this movie, in contrast to the last knight where I went to see how bad it would be.

 

Looks more like a Blend of Armada and WFC/FOC using the movie aesthetic to me. Just like Bee is a mash up of G1 and WFC/FOC (the round shape screams WFC/FOC to me, as G1 bee was just tubby.)

 

I see. Jazz, Optimus and Dino should fall in that list. I would say Soumdwave too.

 

The Transformers, for the first time, look really good. That Starscream transformation is the best thing I've seen in a while.

The rest of the trailer looks like it's going to play out like a generic movie we've seen a million times where some human kid finds a non-human friend and has to keep them safe from the big bad guys trying to get them.

I'm also super over Bumblebee not having a voice. But, as generic as the plot looks like it might be, it definitely has a great 80s adventure movie fee, and those bot modes and transformations look so good. I Will probably even see this in the theater. Haven't done that since RotF.

 

i think you should all stop messing with the kids, everyone knows its Starscream. Me? I'd watch an actual pile of shit being microwaved for an hour and a half if i heard it put Michael Bay to shame. And I don't really care if it's connected with the Bayverse. That's how much i love starscream. Also i heard the reboots haven't started development yet, but i bet this is a test to see how the designs go through.

 

The more recent screen grabs are helping to narrow it down—-still can’t see all the parts I need to see, but I’d currently vote for an early F-4B, which is basically an anachronism for the 80’s, as they should have all been upgraded years before then. Of course, in the end, it’ll likely be a Frankenstein of various F-4 models in some fictional combination, unless someone on the team really knows their jets.

As for the toy—-I am seriously thinking about posting a thread about “please transform your BB movie Starscream toy correctly in jet mode” ahead of time. It’s an F-4, the plane where things do NOT stick out straight! Tailplanes DOWN, wingtips UP! Level/straight/flat=wrong, and is unable to fly stable like that.

 

If someone retools the jeep version of Bumblebee, they just might make G1 movieverse hound.

 

The best part of this, is soon when I search for Bumblebee and Starscream in google, I won\'t get horrendous monsters!  WIN!

 

Maybe people still doubt because they feel "it's too good to be true"? In any case, glad I'm not the only one feeling the Armada feel of this desing. Personally Armada's Starscream is my favorite Starscream

I feel the same man. Although I'm more curious regarding Starscream's personality

 

after watching the trailer a few more times I change my mind... the color scheme looks more like Ramjet......just without the cone head....

 

Heh problem in the trailer apparently it has an extra pylon on the wings for Sparrow missles(designers may have confused the aft recessed Sparrow pylons for being mounted under the wing). Ah well, it's a movie so I've grown used to seeing them get things wrong on planes more than right. Just hope the toy turns out great, sturdy and not terribly inaccurate. Though I worry because an F-4 is really easy to screw up in toy form.
