    YES YES YES YES YES!

They finally lowered the door wings!

I like the movies and all, but I gotta say I've always HATED the door wings with how they were out like that. It always felt so unneeded and obtrusive. Disliked the door wings on RTS Jazz too. The only time they're acceptable to me is on Prowl/Silverstreak/Smokescreen and Skidz. And for the Prowl trio it's mostly because of the head crest where it feels like it's part of their character in aesthetic. Never made sense to me why they had to give Bumblebee "door bee wings" and have them out like that. Much gratitude for how they managed to make them still feel like Bee wings but now have them folded against the back and much less like he's about to strike/sting others in flight.

Probably one of the visual cues that this BB is more about heart, less about fighting, but can still take care of himself. Whereas raised wings is more "constantly ready to sting everyone".

Also absolutely love how the design feels so much more cohesive too. Can't wait to see what the toy looks like. Really want the dlx to feel like the movie version, but will consider the MPM version now too.

The panels on the back of Bee's legs remind me of panels you'd see on the backs of robot toys like Super Robot Chogokin that fill in when the legs are straight but can just sink in to allow the legs to bend more than 90 degrees.

And the little black lines that are just above his elbows remind me of those cuts you'd see in Transformer toys for swivel joints.

I'm getting a really good feeling about this, you guys. :)

I like this poster and it seems like fans in general are reacting positively to the movie which is a good sign but I have one question:

We see here that Bee is a little bit smaller compared to his Camaro self. Does this mean that transformers are not confined to the limits of their protoforms? I always assumed that Bee had a set mass from his protoform that required him to scan certain vehicle modes, i.e. bigger muscle car type vehicles but with this it seems apparent that Bee can shrink down and force himself into smaller (or theoretically larger) vehicles??

I know I'm analyzing this way too far and should just chalk it up to mass displacement but I'm genuinely curious if there has been any official lore / fan theories about this phenomenon in the movie universe.

Really digging that poster; in feeling a lot of positive emotions toward it...

What are the odds that that's the scene the film ends on, with it being edited to have some damage and what not. Bee finishes the battle, and realizes he has to go in order to keep (What's her name?) safe. Then, for those who stick around for after credits, we see a scene where BB drives into the dealership.

IDK, I'm bored, so I wrote that. Guess I'll watch that amazing trailer again!!!

I really hope not. First, the VW parked in the '07 lot is a later, 70's model, not the mid-60's shown in Bumblebee. Second, this would be a great starting point for a full reboot, with the subsequent films moving into the late 80's and early 90's.

I wondered this myself. I'm assuming his mass is the same but it's just distributed differently. His arms and legs are much chunkier, so maybe that makes up the additional mass.

I doubt that he scans another Beetle before the Camaro. He probably goes from Beetle to Jeep to Camaro.

There's going to be a maximum of twenty years between this film (1987) and the first bay movie (2007)*, there's plenty of time to fill in with more bee based adventures if this fits well. No need to be wishing him into stasis just yet.

    * Assuming the first film is set in the year it was released of course.

Pretty weird trailer. It had this weird charm to it, that makes it feel like an underdog type of story, and I kinda've like it in a way. The little guy vs. starscream. He also isn't an f-15 for some weird reason, but okay. The cg is like a mix of 3d web animation, and pacific rim cgi. It's not bad looking, but there are some parts where it looks weird, such as the transformation scene when he transformed over her, which sounds really weird when you spell it out. The design isn't bad. I can somewhat get behind it. I think having the radio change voice is an awful choice, as it doesn't need to be there quite yet, instead maybe we could see bumblebee lose his voice, and let him be sad that he's lost his voice, but still fights pretty good. I hate to be a gee wunner here, but dan gilvezan should be the star of this film. He gave the character a lot of lovability, and I think having the audience connect to a Bumblebee with a voice, should've been prevelant. Hope it turns out really well, the charm should sell it enough, and with solid acting should make for a great pg-13 summer flick. Wait, it's in december, that doesn't make any sense. Things are looking well here on moonbase 2.

Kinda bummed he still has the "can't talk" gimmick in this movie too, and the residual Bay design aspects are the only thing I'm not loving about the bots, but seeing that Starscream made me real happy.

I like the actress who is the main character and it looks like this may actually be a decent film but I’m so sick of Bayformers. Why couldn’t this be a reboot movie. I could’ve used bumblebee as a jumping off point to start over rather than do a preamble to the crap that came before it.
