I think they are trying to have things both ways and i wouldn't be surprised if the announced reshoots are used to create enough space between the Bay films and this movie. The best description i saw about this is to compare it to the x-men first class movies where its loosely connected to the prior x-men films but is essentially its own continuity? And if the movie bombs then Hasbro/Paramount just reboots with new movies and a new set of designs in 3 years

 

ImI hoping the time of Bayformers is finally over, where they just stop with randomly naming characters.

If this part of the Bayformers universe it could be Beachcomber for all we know. Lol!

In my opinion, the trailer looks good. Glad to see Starscream look like an actual Transformer instead of a flying dorito. I hope the movie does focus on the relationship of Bee and Charlie since that’s what I’ve kinda missed, which was how the TFs are sentient and basically are like human. The trailer shows it and I like it. Hope to see more robots in the second trailer.

It looks very much like Starscream thus it couldn't possibly be Starscream......what kind of logic is that?

 

I think the logic that i'm using is fine for an example Just like in Age of extinction, the green Robot looks Like Bulkhead but no It's Hound.

 

Hasn\'t it been stated over and over by those working on this movie that it isn\'t a reboot, it isn\'t a prequel, it\'s a standalone Transformers movie? 

Now for my actual opinion on the trailer... I love it. It\'s giving me the feeling I got in the run up to TF 2007. I love the first 3 Bay films, I tolerate 4 and 5, but this looks like the perfect mix of G1 that people constantly demand and bang on about and the realistic movie aesthetic that I love.

If Bee's Deluxe class toy doesn't have the head looking down from the car bottom like that, I will be very disappointed.
However, I certainly do hope they make toys out of the Jeep Bumblebee and Starscream!

(Seriously, that Starscream design is awesome and i need a toy of it. He'll get to hang out with VW Beetle Bumblebee and Evasion Mode Optimus and party like it's 1984!

 

Didn\'t they say that the plane that looks like Starscream is actually Barricade?

 

Whether I like this movie or not, I'll definitely be getting that figure. That Volkswagen Bumblebee will look great next to Evasion Optimus Prime.

Personally, I hope the jet Transformer is Ramjet. And would be cool if more seekers show up as well.

I know it was confirmed that Optimus Prime at least makes a cameo, which many people suspect might be a recording. But has it been confirmed if any other Autobots will be in this movie alongside Bumblebee?
