Yes, the Divebomb arm was dropping back down during the review. Also, did it seem as if he was having some trouble keeping the hand pieces in place? Overall, this was creatively put together and I like the articulation of the combined mode. I've made my peace with the waist - I'd be happier if it were thicker, but the combiners with the Silverbolt-mold torsos were similarly proportioned. The missing swords are also a bit of a bummer - they could have been incorporated into the wings of combined mode to make them look more fearsome or combined into a larger sword. The lack of leg articulation in most of the individual Predacon alt-modes and the giant thighs hanging off the leg bots' backs are still the things that really bug me.
You're right. I also believe that the Predacons and Dinobots were rivals in the Marvel G1 continuity - I at least know Divebomb and Swoop had some history - so they totally could've played off of that idea.
Yeah, but now we have TWO that are severely compromised. Is that better? Doesn't bother me cause they'll never be individual bots, but if that was important to me I'd be the first to admit it's probably a dealbreaker seeing those big black slabs of plastic just hanging off their backs.
I still haven't decided how I feel about this. I want Predacons more than Predaking....I'll need to see some board member reviews and pictures before I can decide if the individual Predacons are worth $30 each. They do not look as well made as the typical Prime Wars Trilogy voyager toy.
chefatron's review (English)... unfortunately he did not show the combined mode's articulation or demonstrate its stability.
Mmc one looks more like comic version that I prefer, also this has too much black color and altmodes are boxy, still this one provides some strange attraction to get!
I like this. I already have Jinbao's KO Feral Rex, but I might get this to display them individually.
As of this moment he's still up for pre-order on Amazon, in cased you missed the heads up in the dedicated Amazon thread.
Here's hoping a 3rd party can give us a replacement wing pack to fill out the mind section and beef up his limbs. Other wise I'll go back to saving up for a Feral Rex.
I think the upgrades for him will be pretty awesome, considering how good (and numerous) the ones for Devastator were. Probably a torso filler, articulated wings, new hands..... maybe even cannons and a head.
The only possible upgrade I would care about at all is a new set of hands. After that, maybe just weapons like UW Devastator had. I don't see a need for different wings, and also don't think the mid section looks bad at all.
From the front, no, but a lot of people are complaining about back support- how thin it is. I expect a filler there, simply because of the demand.
