Knockout from Studio Series Stinger

Update 1st June 2018



It was such a fortuitous circumstance that Studio Series Stinger and Prime RID Knockout
shares the same neck joint. I never liked how hollow and compromised the original RID mold
is and I'm constantly looking out for a replacement. And now we have a perfectly good one from
Studio Series!



Paint Knockout's face in white, give him black eyes with red pupils, pop it on to the body and voila,
a new Knockout for year 2018.



In case anyone's wondering, by tilting and tucking his chin to the side in alt mode, his head fits
nicely into the cavity. The only other mod I did was to shave off a little of his collar so that it wouldn't
drag on the ground in alt mode.

Wow, that is gorgeous! I might have a reason to pick up Stinger being that I have a Knock-out.

 

This is a fantastic idea! That said though, I feel like you've cheated poor Knockout a bit by not addressing the elephant (read: Stinger blaster) in the room. Where's that extra bit of Fakebusker TLC that you normally give your projects???

Dam, I was going to skip the studio series stuff, but now I have to make an exception. This is a custom that even my talents, or lack there of, can handle.

That's awesome! He might need a chest filler though for that unsightly hole in the chest, and something for the stinger thing.

 

This is just genius right here!!!!! I feel like Knock-Out can now have his own little army of minions!!!

 

for those interested in the cannon being gotten rid of, there'ss just one pin holding it together. before my stinger broke i cut the thing in half, it tabs onto the other arm the same it does as alt mode. looks pretty cool, but yeah pull out the pin for the best look.

 

Works like a charm, gonna do a digibash to start my own take on this project. Thanks, Fakebusker!

 

I've passed on Stinger about six times and now that I absolutely have to get him just watch him not be available at any of the stores. lol. Thanks Fakebuster, this is awesome!

Can anyone link to a shapeways store or similar place to get a Knockout head? I don't have that figure, and I'd rather not buy a whole one just for a head swap.

 

I've not seen any on Shapeways either, which was frustrating when I was making one from the POTP Jazz mould as I ended up destroying a neck system in order to have it receive a ball joint as opposed to feature one

 

That's such a perfect swap. I may do this myself.

That works really well! You could probably figure a way to do Dino/Mirage out of that mold too.
