That's a bit of a stretch, cause he's completely blue in vehicle mode, and he turns into a formula 1 race car.

Barricade along Megatron is the decepticon that has survived the longest.

 

At New York Comic-Con, Jess and the other VA's for "Animaniacs" were there. Originally, I thought I had to buy something to talk with them, but Rob Paulsen (voice of Yakko) shot down that thought.

It was fun to talk to Tress MacNeille (had to ask her about her familiar 'evil laugh'), and Rob was a great guy (I'd see him perform at "Animaniacs Live" a month later).

When I went over to talk to Jess, the guy in front of me had a bunch of cardboard backings from a number of Barricade toys for him to sign, and asked Jess if he could do Ironhide's voice for him. Jess claimed he had to whisper it, given Ironhide's vocal inflections.


Over the years, there was one Wakko line I often remembered ("Pretty boring. I've already hummed all the songs ah know."), and just decided to throw it out for him to hear. "Wow, you do it almost as good as I do ," he said.

But yeah, in person, Jess looks like he escaped from the WWF, with his clothing and long hair.

 

Groovy. Though it all still doesn't make a lick of sense if this film is to serve as a jumping off point as a reboot for the series.

 

I like how this movie caters to both sides of the fandom, the ones who want a reboot and the ones like me who dont mind one last spinoff before this continuity goes under. Also YES MY BOY BARRY IS BACK

 

Only movie-verse voice actor I actually recognize the name of. (That i don’t know from other things)

 

I prefer his movie one voice too. In TLK he sounded like Soundwave who sounded like Dr. Claw.

 

He had the same voice in TLK and movie one.

 

Barricade is hands down the best thing that has come out of the Movieverse. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing him.

 

From what I gather the reboot is rebooting the Movies in a faithful way. Like how Cyberverse is basically a reboot of G1. So it makes sense to share some elements.

 

YES! my boy is coming back!

Lets hope he actually does something instead of fumbling around like in TLK that was embarrassing.

 

Ok so I guess his appearance in TLK was indeed a set up and nothing more.
