Love how Starscream knows Prime is going to bounce back. I think I\'ve started to appreciate when comics tell you they aren\'t dead, rather than try to string you around, only to try and surprise you. 

Also, I can\'t make two things out:

1. Was the matrix destroyed in that panel? Or was SS referring to something else?

2. Do we know who that white bot was in the flashback, or was it a nail?

 

Having just read #17-18 I have no idea what Shockwave\'s motivations are or what his scheme is.

This storyline is pure garbage.

 

How is it pure garbage if we don't even know what his plan is yet? We only just learned he was Onyx two issues ago and you expected Shockwave to immediately reveal his plan in #17 and #18?
Bad writing is the villain doing exactly that

 

Yeah, they've been doing that in superhero comics for a while, like the Joker beliving Batman would come back to life or Lex Luthor knowing Superman would save the world.

 

The write-up for this issue states that the reader knows these things, doofus:

“The Falling,” Part 4. Onyx Prime’s motivations are clear, and his scheme seems unstoppable. Heroes have fallen, and hope dwindles for the survivors. Cybertron’s last chance of salvation is in the hands of… well, that would be telling, wouldn’t it?

Also, the very premise of Shockwave being Onyx is suuuuuper duper garbage to me. That’s more what I meant.

 

I do hope that Starscream ends up sacrificing himself to save Cybertron not out of any sense of nobility, but because killing himself is the only way to get people to leave him alone.

 

He’s in Unicron, so he’s not.

 

So it looks like the last half of the Matrix of Leadership is kaput (maybe, it's literally only the first few pages). Maybe Optimus will forge a new one as The Arisen? (He suggested, knowing full well that that's probably not happening.)

Also, it looks like Starscream doesn't know Onyx is Shockwave. Anyone want to wager how surprised Starscream will be when he finds out?

 

That statement only shows how naive you are. As NominusDP said, if he had outright revealed his motivations it would have been anticlimatic. It's call suspense, to keep readers hooked, being straightforward isn't always the best for a story.
Besides, those who read the FCBD issue already know.

 

Solicitations are written ahead of the actual issues, complaining that the final product doesn't quite match up is ridiculous.

 

I don’t think ANYONE knows. I’m curious as to how they’ll all react myself, particularly the religious fanatic Scoop. He’ll probably have a crisis of faith because of this.

 

Starscream having a blue face in the first page looks...odd to me.

@worldsgreatest I think Shockwave\'s plan is to continue where he left off during the Dark Cybertron crossover

I said, after three parts, this story is garbage, and I have no idea what Onyx's motivations or plot is. Pretty boilerplate stuff for a comic post. That's it really.

 

I'm actually kind of confused as to what you're doing in this thread other than telling everyone you hate the comic with the passion of a thousand burning suns over and over and over again...=)
