I sort of disagree. Soundwave would benefit a lot from better articulation, and not as much detail on some parts IMO.

I'm happy with mine, mind you, but I could never say no to a newer version made with the level of love that MP-36 enjoyed.

I'm kind of in that group as well, though I wouldn't say I don't like MP-10. I feel like it fell short in some areas that MP-1 didn't, mostly in the way of articulation. However, I do really like the alt mode cab on MP-10. I'm hoping that this new MP Convoy/Optimus Prime will follow Sunstreaker's example of an alt mode with real-world detail and proportion with a 'bot mode that follows the cartoon model sheet. Amazing articulation is a given at this point, and I'm really looking forward to a Convoy/Optimus Prime that will be on par with Megatron in that regard.

 

Don't think cartoon Prime will look evil even in black, he will just look dead. Longer arms suits evil guys.

 

I can see that too, or a remolded one. When Megatron got released he came with unplus Optimus,Starscream,and Soundwave. I do wonder if the reason that none of them were pluses was because those characters are popular enough to be remade or updated versus slapping on a different coat of paint.

 

Hopefully this version will also come with a trailer, roller, and a normal size energy axe.

 

I guess 13+ could get some new parts the same way as 29+ and 36+, now that there's precedent. Still don't think he'll get a total redo, though.

I only dropped the 3P comment because of all the vitriol over a simple comment of not knowing the point of this release when there are others to make.

And someone was thin skinned enough to put me on 'ignore' over it. I'm not personally attacking anyone over it, but based on replies you'd swear I did.

I'm totally happy with MP-10, but I hope this version is amazing for those who aren't. I'll still look forward to seeing more images as they are released.

 

The very fact that he sold out means he was underproduced. If he was overproduced, he would not have sold out.

 

Same thing happened with Sideswipe and Soundwave, where demand exceeded expectations and they had to do another run
