I picked up Gabriel yesterday from someone selling as they didn't realise how big he would be and didn't have the space. So I had the good fortune of knowing there were no major issues with it. Also got it for a bargain so #winning.

As someone who had FT Omega and sold it due to disappointment, I'm pretty happy with Gabriel. Sure, FT did some things better but my copy had a heap of little issues that just added up and I really didn't see the value. Gabriel, while not perfect, is definitely worth the money I paid. I also prefer the goofy toon aesthetic he is rocking.

As far as issues with my copy, the elbows (both bend and swivel) are too tight. They can move, but I'll definitely be cracking them open to see about freeing them up a bit.

Awesome! Glad you got it sorted.

Did you ask how to pronounce molybdenum?

I'm not a plastic expert in the slightest, but both of those should be fine. Anything that is not runny will require access to and deberate application. I chose an aerosol for the low surface tension so it'd creep into the mechanisms. Saved me time/disassembly.

Thanks. I also realized that the molybdenum grease from Tamiya (posted by @feeiq90) is fairly easy to get on eBay - my only reason for picking the second of my amazon links (this one) is because apparently that's also good to coat battery terminals to prevent corrosion.

I'm not trying to be an asshole here, but there's this thing called the Junkion /exchange section. why gum up threads with sales that have nothing to do with sales? *shrugs* no need to spam your sales.

Maybe the real secret of Omega Supreme is he was scheming to overthrow Optimus as leader?

LOFL! Yea anything is possible. When I opened his chest I was like...uh....ok. Wtf. That was never in the toons. The engineers who designed TG must have been bored.

Perhaps it was omega's time with Alpha Trion in the Comics. Maybe Alpha Trion built that chamber so Omega could also Safeguard the Matrix incase A prime falls so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands? *shrugs* idk.

Quite possible. Between the comics and the toons there was always so much variation. I will say that it’s still a bonus to have it. Not in line with toon accuracy, but who cares. It’s still cool IMHO.

I used molybdenum grease on my Gabriel. It's the kind of grease I've used on RC cars. It's safe for plastics. My figure didn't really have the water & moisture problems but I did have tight joints that loosened up after a few usages. I only greased up the figure just to avoid something down the road. I disassembled the elbows and greased up what I can see. As for the shoulders, I just put a dab of grease on the shoulder opening and played around with it. I also greased up the hips but I didn't disassemble them. I don't have a pin punch to remove the hip skirts but they do have little openings like the shoulders where I was able to put a dab of grease and it worked fine after a couple of transformations. Extremely happy with my purchase from Show Z.
