I’d say they look no more out of place than the stock tiny feet, which for me are the only let down of the mould. I’m in for 29+ and will sell 29 to help fund towards that. I always wanted a darker purple for Shockwave.

I remember now @Dean ML. I didn't have my Mp29 extended bc I didn't like seeing that gap in the waist and the height difference was negligible. Sorry it was bugging me at work lol.

These are screen grabs from OB and the first is extended with gap and the second is not extended. It's cleaner with no gap. Third is my copy zoomed in

I'm starting to lose interest in G1 Masterpiece and getting into Beast Wars Masterpieces. Unless they can give us Hound, Trailbreaker, Mirage or Jazz, sooner or later G1 MPs will be my lowest priorities ever.

We had a rather odd Electrohome TV when I was a smaller version of myself. The brightness knob was the least analog dial that I'd ever seen, and you basically went from very, very, very dark, to a setting so bright you could get a tan sitting too close to the screen.

MP-29+ might be a very nice hue, but the lighter 29 "regular" is the colour of my toon Shockwave, for this reason. The new colour is nice, and all, but I feel the difference is a couple of EV units on the camera away from the first release. Get whichever version suits your needs - it all depends on the TV you saw the toon on, IMO.

Im perfectly find with my MP-29, Ive never had a problem with his size or color. What interest me about MP29+ is what looks to be a sick paint job.

What been happenin' y'all? Did my twitter speak correctly and say Beast Wars Megatron is happening? Happy for the BW fans. And now there is a more toon accurate Shockwave? Glad i've waited on Shockwave, may have to pick this newer one up instead of the older one. Any other news?

Yup, Beast Wars Megatron is MP 43. MP 42 is Cordon (Diaclone Police Sunstreaker) and a toy deco version of G1 Megatron is coming. Check the threads in the news section for pics.

I really hope they don't do this. It's already hard enough to not buy the BWII/toy deco (and I just know I'm going to give in) but I would absolutely buy this.

And that would be annoying since I already have a shitload of the Original Ultra Optimus Primal (regular, grey, burning, crystal, universe, prototype for universe, and 10th anniversary). I really do not want to have to buy them in MP's as well -- and I would if they'd release them :( .

Best damn good guy leader in the TF fiction.

If segregated into a new thread, it'd really need to stay that way. Either one big thread as we've had, or two separate thread. No need for both.

Very much against spliting and I think this was discussed many times before. THis isn't the G1 Masterpiece speculation thread (and what even is G1 exactly -- is victory?), but the End All Be All MASTERPIECE speculation. Thus it must be for all Masterpiece releases, regardless of series.

Whether it's a G1 character (Marvel/sunbow and/or victory), a BW character, a movie character or a hypothetical (and very realistic) new branching, TT releases them all as Masterpiece figures. And thus the speculation for this series should be in one topic.

I tried that over two years ago:

The Masterpiece Beast Wars Speculation Thread

It's up to the mods to make that final decision, ultimately. Right now this thread sometimes feels like it should be divided up: "Ok, we'll talk about BW on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and every other Sunday, the rest of the time we can talk about G1 except the last Friday of the month reserved for MPMs and the first Monday in every odd-numbered month for talking about RID and beyond."

At the same time, people don't really complain about BW or MPM talk too much anymore, everyone's used to it now I think.

Personally, as somebody who is interested in G1, BW and Movie Masterpieces, and a highly hypothetical Car Robots sub-line, this sums up my thoughts.

wait.. so I can't post Beast Wars related digibashs in this thread now?

I thought that's what this thread was for. End All Be All Masterpiece (ie. all Takara Masterpiece) Speculation (ie. lets talk about figures that could be a real thing) Thread.

It is, and you can. There’s just always someone that’s butthurt that Takara is releasing a character from one set or another instead of the one they think is their own, so they try to segregate the discussion threads.

We shouldn’t break up the threads either. This is the place for all Masterpiece discussion.

Doubt it makes much difference now, as G1-wise, apathy toward the line has started to set in.

I just have to comment on how awesome that display is. Love how clean everything looks and the space you've allowed around each figure.

Do you have any more pictures up or floating around somewhere that you can direct me to? This is very much along the lines of what I'm hoping to build, so it would serve as great inspiration.

I'd love a nearly fully painted Shockwave, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Those are shots of a fully painted prototype, but the actual products usually have less (compare Wheeljack's box photos to the actual figure). Then again MP-14+ and 12+ both had more extensive paint coverage than the original releases, so there is some precedent - here's to hoping!

I have to say I'm really impressed they made the effort to tweak Shockwave's head, however slight (again, credit to keen eyed @Sam , board mvp ;)  ). Aside from the addition of flight stand holes, previous + releases have had no new molding (12+ just used 14's face).

How long did it take after Prowl+'s reveal for us to see he'd be released by Hasbro in the West? Wonder if that's a possibility for our cycloptic friend.
