Right. They spoilered the hell out of that little tid bit.

The subbing of the unicron trilogy was terrible. I agree. But if you watch the Japanese language, the plot is awesome especially for galaxy force(cybertron). I remember when starscream died in armada. That was an emotional turnaround and important to the plot progression and was revisited in superlink (Energon) when he was brought back to life has nightscream.

This show, when stuff happens it just happens with no rhyme or reason. When characters die, it’s just a fact instead of an emotional moment. For a show that is supposed to be aimed at a more mature audience, story is key.

It hurts me to say this but...... I don’t care if they make a single figure. I want a good mature story with great plot and character development, and quality animation. Hell most of the movies didn’t create figures for 50% of the cast so I’m used to it. I think this trilogy is a start, but it is missing the mark.

CW was part of Target's special edition of TLK.

As for "season sets", all of Machinima's crap SHOULD (i'm pointing at you, Machinima) be a single-release. One Blu-ray disk should hold all this crap. Yet I will still buy it, because I have OCD about getting TF shows on physical media...

Actually, it's pretty honest and respectful to the audience that even trailers for this series show how inept are creators with doing cinematography.

This way I can know in advance to not bother.

Don't be so harsh for the creators. Chances are they'd have difficulties answering why is anything in their series plots. Have mercy for the creatively impaired.

The best developed character on the show is a ... a gun.

The G1 cartoon is Beast Wars quality compared to this dump of a show.

    Good grief. Facepalm.

ALL TRANSFORMERS CARTOONS SINCE G1 HAVE BEEN "FREE."

I mean, wow. Your statement is on par with the quality of this travesty of a cartoon.

It's neat that they did this for the audience members that needed it even though all of this is covered in the show itself. The "hype building shadowy figure" contained a major spoiler for next episode. But I do rather like the implication that this is an Ancestor to BW Primal from eons before the great downgrade.

All this stuff is in the transformers Aligned universe lore bible too. So nothing really new there. Megatronus' taste of the blaster after sealing Unicron away gave him a thirst for power, which eventually potentially made him turn to working for Unicron as the entity that could quench that.

It's an interesting sub-metaphor too when you really think about the catalyst and what it represents especially in terms of how his refusal to give up something deemed too dangerous to stay existing cost him the life of who he cared for most. Literally as his refusal to give it up is what made it the very thing that took her life. That tragic irony aspect of how his need for a weapon to feel powerful is what took everything from him and sent him into the spiral of becoming the second greatest evil of Transformers lore, the first betrayer, the first decepticon, the Fallen of the Primes.

The symbolism to modern day connotations isn't lost either. Rather glaringly obvious, but in today's world, that's kind of needed.

Also really like how this seems to give more history to Megatron in not only the name he took, but his alternate form too. Rather gives Megatron a more robust thought out backstory in a way in why he had that form and what it represents. Literally turning into a copy of the Fallen's most powerful weapon, but also the very thing that cost the Fallen everything.

This 7 minutes of Armada is better than EVERY single episode of this travesty of a series put together.

This 7 minutes of Armada is better than ALL of the episodes of this travesty of a series combined.

A high tech laser cannon being "forged" by a god (or a Prime) just sounds stupid. I know its science fiction and all, but cmon really?

Yeah, for an ancient weapon, it looks pretty modern amongst the aesthetics of everything surrounding it in this story's present day (if that makes any sense.)

This is one of the worst transformers series of all time. I can't even believe there are people defending this stuff. We really shouldn't be shocked since the bayverse is somewhat popular with fans. Remember when they made a human transformers "chain" to get an item to a helicoptor from a building. Let's just be happy the toy line has been one of the best ever and just take what we can get animation wise. Isn't animated coming back? I mean is there any hope for a good series on our horizon? The worst part is this is series 3 from machinima and the fandom has been giving them valid criticisms everywhere you could look, yet here we are.

I found the actual name of this Trilogy series in one of the writer's desk on crumpled paper.

The requiem blaster (and the star saber) haven’t been made of minicons since the 13 were fully established.

Do not you think that this particular Megatronus is very much like Thanos from the recent film of the Infinity War?

I've said this a few times, and the perspective certainly allows me to enjoy the series more.

This mini-web series should be understood just as we do getting a bonus comic book with a Deluxe figure. Often there's little in the way of real attachment to any continuity, the stories are short, not the best quality, and crammed with characters that don't make the most sense interacting (recall the horrific Universe comics that, coincidentally, also threw in Optimus Primal in the mix). This token mini-series should not be compared with past, full-length animation projects.

And just my opinion, but although the Unicron trilogy was generally not so great, Armada alone does stand out and is significantly better written than this, even if it can't compare to its style predecessors like Masterforce or Victory in terms of animation. I'll take average cel robot animation any day over average and stiff robot CG.

Which makes it MORE ironic because it's named after an Armada weapon that is comprised by three characters. But in the G1 Timeline? Just a gun.
Seriously though, with all this G1 focus, they would at least try to handle the source material better. It's like "Hey, there's these three weapons that consist of three little robots each. What should we do with them?" "Ehhh... just slap their names in some weapons and make them mcguffins."

Seriously, Micronus is one of the primes, would it really kill them to at least depicted them as a weapon that is comprised of minicons?

The G1 cartoon is Beast Wars Quality Compared to a lesser G1 show. Tatsunoko, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
(It's okay, it's not really your fault, all the blame will be towards Machinima anyways.)

    Wait a minute...
The Fallen is also on fire and is voiced by Mark Hamill...
    That may mean...

OH SH*T- THANOS AND THE FIRE LORD HAVE FUSED!!
