I recently re-watched TLK during my stay at a hospital and during the part where Optimus gets attacked by the Knights for "betraying" his kind.

When he gave his speech about Earth being the only place where they let him call it home, I got emotional. 10 years of TF movies and that speech really hit me as a long time fan.

As the title says, have you ever gotten emotional watching any of the movies? I'd like to hear some of your thoughts. :)

    Ratchet's death.
I have an attachment to the character, so daaaamn.

Of course that won't stop me from reenacting the scene once SS Lockdown gets released.

The first film. Watching Optimus transform for the first time and Bumblebee saying he wished to stay with Sam. It went downhill from there, sadly.

Though, I will admit Prime's ending speech in TLK was just about the only really good thing about the film, aside from Cogman.

Not really, but I still get chills during "Arrival to Earth" in the first film because the music and the mysterious arrivals of the Autobots. It was beautiful. I also got chills during the "it's up to you" speech Cade gives to Prime in TLK, just the swelling of the familiar scene with the awesome Dutch angle and the crashing of Cybertron in the background. TLK was a bad movie, but great moviemaking.

I've never gotten sad about any of it, but I still get super excited every time I watch that Barricade/Bumblebee industrial-area chase scene early in the first movie (where they blow through a cloud of smoke/dust and the music cranks up). Gets me every time.

When Jazz sacrificed his life to protect the others from Megatron....the first movie is pure nostalgia.

When it looked like Soundwave was about to execute Bumblebee, that kind of hit me. Re-watching the first movie, it was kind of hard to watch seeing Sector Seven freeze Bee while Bee refused to fight back. Ratchet and Ironhide's death scenes felt like I was losing two old friends. The fight between Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in the Last Knight also had me worried for my favorite Transformer. The scene that the OP mentioned was also heart-wrenching. Every moment between Optimus and Sentinel Prime, seeing Megatron thankful for Cybertron's return, and Starscream panicking as he lost his eyes and then his life to actual cannibal Shia LaBeouf in Dark of the Moon also moved me.

Went sad when Sam's dad didn't buy him a Porsche.

Laughed like a madman when Jazz died, it was just hilarious.

    Plenty of emotions.

'There is no plan scene' was definitely the one which made me cry. Come to thing of it, everything from there onward was really good. There was sadness, happiness and finally a sense of conclusion in the end. Really good. The first TF movie is still my favorite but DOTM is definitely the close second.

I still feel a sense of awe and child-like wonder during the Arrival to Earth scene. Sublime filmmaking and the emotional high point of the films.
