Any news credit to @turbobluestreak for posting about this in the "Conventions" section of the site: From TFCON's facebook page: We are very pleased to welcome David Mendenhall to TFcon Toronto 2018 for his first ever convention appearance. Transformers fans will recognize him as the voice of Daniel Witwicky in Transformers The Movie as well as Generation 1 season 3 and 4 where he later became the headmaster component for Arcee. David will be taking part in Q&A panels and autograph sessions with the attendees of the world’s largest fan-run Transformers convention all weekend long. “We are thrilled to welcome David to TFcon for his first-ever convention,” says General Manager Colin Douglas. “His appearance will be a rare first opportunity for fans to meet with an actor from Transformers Generation 1. David Mendenhall is presented by Robotkingdom
i really dont need a news credit for this, besides im sure Tfcon admin will be posting this soon enough anyways. tbs
I thought for sure he would have made a convention appearance before now, so surprised to see it'll be his first! Not too much Daniel merchandise to get signed though
Yes! He does a comedy show in Las Vegas, I've always thought about attending and bringing along a Trypticon but don't even know if he would want to sign it Hopefully TFCON can also somehow snag Corey Burton one of these days.
Anybody ever wondered why Sunbow paid a voice actor to do the voice of a dumb kid instead of getting a dumb kid?
Ok that makes sense lol. Most of these G1 voice actors have a few characters under their belts so when I saw daniel as his main achievement, I was like wtf? Was he even considered a voice actor back then? Or was I right on the money about using some dumb kid?
Imagine being a kid in the 80s getting a job to be on G1 Transformers. It seems like a dream come true. The kid also got to costar in a movie with Stallone. It seems like an awesome childhood. I'd love to hear what he has to say about it all.
I am not sure i wouldn’t want to punch him if i were to meet him. No disrespect to the man himself but Daniel was a real sore in the ass back in the day.
He was also in other Cartoons too way before Transformers. We was in Rainbow Bright, the Bearenstein Bears, Weekend Starcade, G.I.Joe and many others.
Yeah he was in Over the Top. Also was in another Cannon films production, Going Bananas, with Dom DeLuise, Jimmie Walker, and a talking monkey.
