After the recent BWs MPs, I had a feeling that 'ol T-Rex Megs would be getting the MP treatment one day too. Even from a gray prototype, he looks bad-ass! Can't wait to get him - just need to find some room...

JK, but BW really is the only thing I can think about right now. Wish I brought Primal and Cheetor to work with me today...

I could also see a lack of extras the BW MPs typically get to justify a lower price (I agree around the same as Dinobot). Maybe a couple extra faces. Other than that I can't think of any accessories that normal season 1 Megatron is known for in the show except for the rubber ducky, but unless I'm remembering wrong I think he was in his Transmetal body when the ducky came along in the show.

Amazing! I hope to live long enough to see the entire 1st season cast in MP form. Keep them coming.

    YESSSSSSSSS.

    He looks amazing!

Hope he comes with a mini-toothbrush for the t.rex head. (haven't checked many posts, so I don't know if included accessories have been mentioned..)

This is because the Beast Wars Masterpiece figures have their own scale.

Since I have no connection at all to Beast Wars, this makes me sad...really was hoping for a new G1 that isn't just a repaint. Ah well...saves me some money...maybe...3rd party is looking awfully nice.

You should make a connection to Beast Wars then buy BW MP figures and not save money.

    So....
You decided to enter a thread for a product you closed your mind to to say that you're not willing to buy it.

I understand. Sometimes - I don't know why - I go to Power Rangers forums and post that, even though I can't find the appeal of the property (though I haven't actually seen an entire episode) I'm sad that they still make Power Rangers toys. Then I like to imply that maybe I'll just buy a Voltron toy instead.

The passive-aggressive tag to Takara-Tomy's a nice touch, though: "Maybe Takara employees visit the boards. I should threaten to buy unofficial Third Party figures unless they make unprofitable B-listers. Might spur on a whole new revival."

Now, if you'll all excuse me, I have to visit the Movie boards and tell them all how I'm disappointed that TT and Hasbro are making MPM and SS, whilst ignoring "Generation 1" and Beast Wars fans, and how much I hate Bayformers.

They've done a pretty good job keeping scale with these. I can't imagine they keep it in line once they start getting to stuff like Rampage, Depth Charge, Op Op, and Dragon megs. Dragon Megs and Optimal are both about twice the height of season 1 dinobot. Would be some pricey figures.

Can't wait to get this one, but Rhinox is my holy grail for beast wars figures.

Then again Optimal Optimus doesn't have an overly complex transformation, so maybe scale won't make it overly priced... Then again, they probably never produce it... Time will tell...
