Looks like the price increase is official from XTB?...

... and I'm definitely out on XTB's Mensaor then. I was wavering because of the price, but when the cost is on-par with DX9's, their superior looking finish and cleaner bot mode wins for me, even with it being too tall. Of course, if DX-9 messes up combined mode, I'll pas on them as well, and wait for FT or someone else to do it right.
Weird call from XTB to do that, so late in the game. I can't imagine the US retailers are going to be happy either, as they'll either take a massive loss keeping the old price, or piss off a lot of customers adnd lose a lot of pre-orders, matching the new price.

There's speculation in the DX9 thread that XTB have only charged Show.Z the price-hike, to "punish" them for carrying the BBQ KO.
Not sure I beleive that. TFDirect also carry the KO.
If it's true, it's a nasty thing to do to customers.

Oh well, it's about time we had some more drama and intrigue around here. Things were getting a bit too quiet after Zeta stomped all over Toyworld.

The price is what had many people on board, I imagine XTB losing a lot of buyers if that price increase continues elsewhere

Well, ain't that some BS. I thought for sure XTB would hold at the lower price and force DX9 to drop theirs via collectors complaining like what happened on FT TG. Still, as others are I'm sure scrabbling, I will lock the $40 with my seller and shop the other limbs later after they are out for awhile below $73 price and whatever MM is.

XTB will just find out the hard way, if this truly real, what happens when you play the old bait and switch game.

 

I had a gut feeling long ago that that $40 price would be too good to remain true. My advice for others would be to do as you are doing; lock the $40+shipping in with a reputable retailer they trust who is likely to honor the $40 price point before they raise the price.

Who's going to sell this figure for a loss? If the cost goes up everyone will raise their prices.

 

There are even some legal issues (at least in the US) concerning selling below cost.

 

Stunticons were some of the very few G1 toys that I had. Breakdown did have that weird cream color. I thought it was strange even back in the 80's.

 

This is the most G1-accurate-colored Breakdown since 1986. Even the Takara CW wasn’t as good. Breakdown was never white. People just seem to like to “bleach” his colors.

(Blue should be darker, but the main color is more important than the accent color). White chest is annoying though—-was silver on the toy, pale grey in the toon to mimic the toy’s silver.

 

Before you all jump off a bridge you might wanna wait to see what actually happens instead of taking a comment on FB from a single retailer as gospel.

I stay out of there as much as I can. Bewteen trolls, personal abuse of ppl sharing info and constant falling sky/end of the world it's a rocky thread.
