Blastwave was pretty cool for a "Hi and bye" RiD character. He was a bounty hunter - that's nifty. He wasn't immediately recognisable as either a 'Bot or a 'Con - also keen. But what really made Blastwave stand out for me is the fact that he communicated via sign language. Of course, he wasn't going to get his point across with those big block fists, he needed some hands with a bit more finesse. Thankfully, Megatronus was available to lend a hand. Blastwave is now fitted with Megatronus' arms and has been repainted in enamel paints to make him show-accurate. His face hasn't been re-sculpted, just layered with paint to smooth out the skull design and make him look closer to his show appearance and card art. We never saw Blastwave in vehicle mode in the show, but it's safe to assume he would transform into the toy's mobile artillery platform mode. Thanks for looking, or as Blastwave would say "............!" ~L~
Wow! I had no idea Blastwave was actually a show character, let alone a differently-abled TF! Guess that's what I get for not watching PRiD! I dig the new arms (and the smooth paint job), they really help differentiate him from Bludgeon, and it gives him a really cool silhouette in vehicle mode.
Man, if only if we had an OSKO of this guy and Bludgeon, but either way this is awesome! I prefer this than the official, the smoother cannon and the less bulky arms.
Nice work I've already been wondering if nobody had done this. If you want to give him a more show accurate head, just replace it with one of an AoE Galvatron figure, because they seem to have taken this design for him. Sizewise the Voyager's head might be to big but there are also a One-Step-Changer and a Power Battler.
