If they repaint it in something other than Jetfire colors I’d be interested since it’s a cool design.

Sort of an easy pass for me. Reminds me of
Jhiaxus/jetstorm/jetfire from RID. Was never a fan of that mold or how it looked in general.

While, as a huge Macross fan, I would have loved to get something more in the style of a Valkyrie or F-14 Tomcat, I still think this totally fits as an alt mode for Jetfire. I'd say, between the VF-1, whatever-the-cartoon-used, the Unicron Trilogy mostly space shuttles, and his WfC design, he's generally supposed to be an advanced form of aircraft that's probably capable of space flight. Which tracks with the Quinjet. They probably could have stretched the nose a bit, to make it look more light a fighter and less like a transport (though that's what he was in the G1 cartoon), but then it would maybe look too much like the WfC design?

Also I'm totally down for a low-vis version. Or maybe something referencing the old G2 toy.

Love the modes, but not feeling it as Jetfire/Skyfire.

Yeah, that is what they are going for with Cross Dimensions, they are letting the designers be free

Its supposed to be different. I like it and its fresh and cool. I hope he is kinda bigger, at least 12", He is supposed to be bigger than Prime. I think he might be Leader size though.

    Gerwalk?
If gerwalk, I am in love.

PS: They need to tone down those forearm weapons... it is too much kibble... overkill

Maketoys should just rebrand their combiners under the cross dimension line, as the design asthetic is pretty similar, might increase their sales.

Totally get your point and have thought similar thoughts. However the vehicle modes really separates their Defensor and Devastator from the aesthetic CD is going for. But robot modes, heck ya!

Cool stuff, but it's just not Jetfire to me. Needs to be a sleek sci-fi space fighter. This fella looks more like a dropship.

I just dont see the point in it. When youre this far off from the source material, why even bother having a source material? Gundam is doing just fine. These molds would be better off as their own characters. I used to spend big money on 3rd party figures. But I was always in it for the characters spot getting filled on my shelf. I was never in it for "a different take" on an existing character. For that just give me a different take on transformable robots universes all together.

I think I'd rather have this in any other deco BUT Jetfire. Such a cool design.

Oh my, I begun to think this line was gonna stay stuck around Prime, Megatron and their repaints/powered-up forms. Glad to be proven wrong, this figure looks amazing. I wonder how big it's gonna be, if they follow a G1-y or CHUG scale, he shoudl be a big boy.

Because variety is good? You may not like this take but others do. For example I have 0 interest in G1 MP figures at this point. I have 8 characters and that's all I could ever want. However I would love a Grimlock who has a sword bigger than him and was a bit of a cross between IDW and G1. The cross dimension line gives me hope that maybe, just maybe, I'll get something like that one day. Also doesn't Hasbro reinvent their characters all the time? I truly don't see the difference.

I think it will be a voyager like their megatron and optimus, if not, maybe a CHUG leader size.
