So one of the main things that bugged me about Studio Series Stinger was that the backpack stars had to be removed from robot to vehicle since there wasnt a way to keep all 4 stars on the same parts for both modes. So I decided to do something about that. The end result was a backpack that allowed the stars to remain on in the same place for both modes. This doesn’t hinder the rolling at all.

I forgot to take pictures while modding him, but I’ll do my best to explain through pictures

This is the end result of the process

First off, you’ll want to shave down the underside of the black bars (the side that faces towards stinger in bot mode)

Your goal is so that the red parts with the stars attached can swing under it without flexing anything

You’ll also want to cut down the black pegs to help give clearance for rolling. I recomment you do this after gluing the star on so you know there’s enough for the star to grib onto

The stars that go on the red parts don’t need any shaving, so you can just glue the stars onto those parts

Transformation is normal, with the exception of not removing those stars

Top view (nothing sticks out the sides)

From the side (still clearance for all wheels to roll)

    Bot mode remains uneffected

Awesome and effective! I hope to see something like this utilized for any future MPM styled AOE Bumblebee and Stinger figures.

Good job! That's a pretty nice mod, if I say so myself. It's efficient and it clears the sides of the alt mode too!

If you find a way to make the rear wheels fold onto the backs of his calves then you might have the best ss stinger

Good job. Makes me kinda wonder why it wasn't designed this way in the first place.
