I'm so disappointed... I thought they were going to take the opportunity to make Ant-Man's helmet correctly but they went with the effortless reuse route, even with Wasp's helmet. I know Wasp will be a big draw but I almost wish they just re-released the old set. I'd rather build Antony.

 

Found a fresh case of minifigures put out today. My Police force has grown by 1. Nice knowing where in the box he is located. Was the 2nd figure I felt up.

 

Hoping to see the new summer star wars sets up tomorrow.

Anyone else thoroughly and utterly underwhelmed by the May the 4th sale offerings? It's like they aren't even trying.

 

Its been that way for the last couple of iterations now. But yeah, particularly disappointing. Even more disappointing is their very questionable decision not to have the new UCS Y-Wing included in double VIP! I would have bought it today, but there is no incentive.

 

So far, no new Star Wars sets yet.

But I ordered the Arrowhead online and I'm going to pick up the Defense of Crait today.

 

It is the same thing every year. New exclusive set gets released, free polybag, double VIP on Star War sets, discount on older slow moving sets and usually a free poster of some sort. I can understand why they wouldn't do double points on the Y-Wing. It is a new set that people are willing to buy and the next few days will likely be most it will sell. It is the same with the new set every year.

I ordered the new Tie Fighter. I had been waiting until today to order it. Double points, Free BB-8 (last years R2 was pretty sweet) and a free poster (Black VIP member offer if you spend $35). I'm happy.

 

I disagree, VIP is a "loyalty" program. Don't make exclusions. If it is Star Wars, it should count. That TIE does look pretty sweet. They did a review on Brothers Brick and, while not perfect, they were pretty impressed with everything but the price.

 

snagged me a UCS falcon today as i saw they were available! oh boy that one is gonna hurt the wallet  

 

Just can't convince myself to pull the trigger on that one. Sure looks amazing though.

 

At least you got double VIP points (or was this excluded?). If so then I think that's the first time that has been possible.

Someone at the lego store pointed out there are no more new Solo sets at all. Didn't believe him.

 

Picked up the Kessel Run Falcon with BB8 today

 

I got the Solo Tie Fighter, Molusk's Speeder and the BB8 promotion at the Lego store last night. I also got Duel on Naboo for $20 at Wal-Mart.

 

I spot a new scooter mould...Looks unusual.

 

Hopefully more Star Wars set reveals are just around the corner. I have a over $100 VIP points I plan to use on those.

But I got Defense of Crait yesterday and I got the free BB-8 set, slong with another Darth Vader Pod.

 

I caved and bought the UCS Millennium Falcon because of the double VIP points... what have I done?

 

Picked up Han's Landspeeder yesterday. It is a fun build with lots of cool little techniques. Since I really only dabble in Star Wars LEGO it was nice to get something in blue.

Also picked up a Classic Policeman. Saw a new box at Toysrus here in Canada and sure enough he was in the back left corner about 3 or 4 down.

It is a great set. Yes it is a lot of money but honestly I felt like I got my value out of it. It is the centerpiece of my collection, that and the Ewok Village.
