Uh, are we looking at the same Leader class figure? Well wherever you're at, I'd love to live in that alternative universe.

 

I remember years ago I was excited to get the leader Brawl.
I got him, looked at him and thought "he looks like a Gobot" and never opened him.

This one looks more like a Gobot.

I'm the only one who thinks the Leader Class it's shit?. Even when it was released, for me, aside from the tank mode wich it's great, has the weakest robot mode in all the movie figures from the first line.

Mine could barely move because everything was too "locked", the legs could barely pose, and the gimmicks were annoying (well, they, weren't, THEY STILL ARE), i enjoyed the brawl deluxe much better.

 

I don't think it's a terrible figure, but it never impressed me much. Too bulky and those legs were horrible. You may think his size is what catch the attention more than any other aspect.

 

Wow, Brawl now has the distinction of getting a release in each mainline size class. Didn't see that one coming

 

What’s the point of releasing pics with him still in the goddamn tray? Open the fukker then snap some pics, that’s what we really want to see. You know, how he poses, how bad the arms really are/aren’t. It really chaps my turret to see shit reveals like this....what did the person do, open him up and was so enthralled that he/she couldn’t snap a few with him different poses and angles? I know it’s possible, I have to do it all the time before my wife and kids get home so I can enjoy it for a brief moment, and I ALWAYS get a few good pics out to my much younger half brother who’s into this stuff too.

I’ve got Blackout, OP, and Starscream from this line and if he’s remotely close to them he is gonna he pretty darn good.

 

I can sympathize. I wasn't intending on buying any of these figures. I then picked up all of wave 1 except Crowbar the weekend they were released.

That being said, I'm also selling a huge amount of G1/Generations that are no longer required in my G1 collection given my own peculiar curating logic.

So, I made some room for a small, definitive, well-scaled movie collection, and I turn around and SS happens. Perfect timing and it's everything I've wanted in a movie line. It's a collectors' movie line.

Anyhow, I sold my leader Brawl a very long time ago. Picking up the SS, for sure. I def want the full cast of the first movie.

Here's to movie 1 Megatron getting the voyager SS treatment soon.

He looks great so far. Wave 2 looks to be another "buy everything" for me.

 

'Kay, so, after giving this, the Leader, and the original model a gander... I'm gonna pitch my tent in the camp that says this is better. The Leader looks bulky and super awkward to pose. This isn't perfect, but it's a heck of a lot closer. (Also, this'll be a heck of a lot cheaper)

(Also, does anyone know what kind of tank Brawl turns into? Everywhere I looks says it's an Abrams, but someone told me it's not. I don't know jack about tanks so... is it?)

 

I actually kind of like him. I don't say that about movie toys too often. His face looks kinda weird, but at least its not predator mandible with a space wizard beard.

I also didn't notice his turret "placement" until you guys started cracking jokes.  :

I don't mind if he's skinnier than the CGI model, but the coloring seems kinda weird.
Still, I will definitely buy.
