I haven't posted to the board in years. I am wondering if anyone else has run into any problems ordering off TF Direct?
Almost a year ago I pre-ordered the WJ Oversized Masterpiece Style Megatron. I paid full price in Aug 2017. It's now almost May 2018, no item.
I contacted them after they had the item listed as in stock . They claimed they they were sold out. but they would ship me when the next order came in . ( guess pre-order means nothing)...I waited and waited. no package , no emails.
So I said I wanted to cancel the order. I was told store credit only. So I asked for the FT Koot, which they showed as being in stock.
I emailed them after waiting a long time for the Koot. same story.
Has anyone else run into these types of issues? is TF Direct just another rip off like the Chinese eBay scammers?

I haven't had any issues with them, but I also haven't ordered in a while.

I ordered a black DOTM leader prime, the FWI hetpack, and a couple of PE upfrade kits. Waited the obligatory forever and a day for the items to be carried by migrating pigeons from China, but that was to be expected and everything arrived ok.

    Hope you hear back soon.

they did reply. they seemed offended by me questioning them. it has been 10 months. zero contact from them. unless i have inquiries. they reply. but the only reply was tgat WJ Megs was sold out. i asked about switching to Koot. they said yes. i waited and waited. i asked about Koot
..oh it is now on back order. i wait and wait...no updates. so I wrote a cranky email ( which I usually don't do). but was scammed a few times on eBay in a short period of time. eBay didn't refund me. so a bit frustrated.
may just stuck to bigbadtoystore and ages 3 and up ( great people and store).
TF Direct replied to my cranky email. they seemed offended and a bit confrontational. they said Koot is on back order. but WJ Megs is in. they will send that right away. i already bought one. they offered a refund.
i am debating a refund or an item of equal value .

    ( beer fueled rant )

If you are having a bad experience with an online seller, why would you want to trust them with another item rather than a refund? Take your money back, then go to whatever stores you want to go to.

Sorry to hear that. Not sure what to say since we don't have the correspondence. I know at my place when there's an issue if you talk to the shipping guy you're going to get a lot more 'tude than if you speak with one of the office reps, on account that there's different access and authorization levels. But yeah, lots of places have less inventory control than they'd care to admit.

I just got a coupon email from TF-Direct, but cross referencing the prices with show.z on the same item, show.z's std pricing was a hair better and I was meaning to get a couple other things from them anyway. I hear they are better on the response times. Not super-quick, volume and time-differences and all, but better.

    Same here.

I've never had issues with TF-D, but lately it's come down to the fact that I can get the same or more variety at show.z for a slightly more budget-friendly price.

Don't mean to derail the subject but does robotoybase offer free shipping?

I an kind of tempted to get the trabsforming prime trailer thru TFD, tho.

I just wanted to say, off topic. Bout the eBay comment . I'm truly surprised eBay didn't refund you. Assuming you bought the item , not sold. If you sold the item and never got a refund due to something. Then yea, which is why I avoid them with my misb stuff. More than once, Ive sold misb perfect item. Customer claims defect. Returns a package. I pick up from carrier. eBay immediately reimburses buyer. I open package. I get towels, garbage, paper plates (dirty) etc. So I get screwed out of both my misb item and money and time. eBay does nothing about this. It should be against the law.
