Don't get me wrong, he's highly detailed and looks good on a shelf, but QC must have taken a lunch break when he came down the line. For me, his transformation into helicopter mode is plagued with tabs that don't properly tab in, joints that aren't molded perfectly round, and pieces that feel like they're going to snap off if you look at them wrong.

For example, I have one with the shoulders that don't tab in right, so he has jelly shoulders. Also the bit between his rotors and cockpit refuses to stay tabbed together. The panels on his arms seem like they'll pop off at a seconds notice. Also when rotating his thigh to transform him the first time, his whole leg fell off at the joint. It was not molded perfectly round. Scorpinok has a claw that won't stay attached, and it came out of the package like this.

I don't know what I expected out of it, but I assumed it would be a decent quality. I have TRU's Thundercracker and he seems pretty solid, so maybe I thought it should be similar.

One leg on mine doesn't have sideways ratchets. The panels that tab into the cockpit sides for robot mode stick so tightly I need to use a eyeglass repair screwdriver to safely pop them back out. Jelly shoulders are common, I think.

Oh, the Qc it's definitely a reason to get disappointed about a toy, however for me, i would be disappointed if the executions of overall, the design, were mediocre, and so far is not, but again, the QC will be different on every toy, so i'd say it's reason to get disappointed about your purchase.

I'm really bugged by his scale. He's a good size near other Studio Series figures but not when put next to the prior movie line figures. As is, I'm using his backdrop as a riser in my collection to make him appear to be the right height next to the prior movie leader Decepticons
I haven't put him in alt mode yet, he went straight from the box to my display.

Mine is 100% perfect. Everything tabs tight, all panels line up for chopper mode except the rear two under the tail but that looks like a design flaw. Only problem I have with the figure is that the ratchets seem like they will wear down over the future years. I double dipped and if a quality ko os (BMB looking at you for a repeat of the nitro treatment) then I'll likely double dip again haha.

Also the torso tab has stress marks which kinda scares me.

Am I the only one confused why this isn't in the unpopular opinions or Movieverse threads?

I totally dig the way he looks. He's so evil looking it makes me smile. But, I still haven't taken him out of his box to see how he feels.

Other than the weird hands, my only complaint is that I wish it were bigger.

I literally just transformed mine and yes mine has tab problems but i love it no matter what. To me those tab problems are just minor things to me. I mean come on, doesn't that figure look awesome in a bigger leader style instead of the previous version. I love the figure and all its flaws. I sold my previous version and regret it but having this leader class fits so well in my collection.

Needs to be bigger, the hands seem backwards to me. Will definitely sell it once a KO OS is made but just in case that doesn't happen I will enjoy the flawed official version until then. Either way, it's better than the previous Voyager version.

I dunno, maybe you should go check the actual feedback thread on it and find out?

Like seriously, that's the whole point of that forum.

You just described my first Blackout and I cursed it!
Returned and got another one and its perfect, thusly making the score of this figure "AWESOME!"

I suggest you do the same ....its too good a figure to waste on poor QC.

Sounds like you got a lemon. Mine is perfect, wonky hand design notwithstanding. If it were me, I'd wait until you could find a new one and return the jacked up one. He is a fantastic figure when he works right.

I saw him and Grimlock once. It's crazy how many Deluxes and Voyagers I've seen, but only one set of Leaders.
