What the title says. I’m curious where particular vehicles like the Twins’ ice cream truck or Mixmaster’s cement truck or even Starscream’s jet go after they finish making the movies. Are they put in storage or sold off to other people? Or scrapped once they serve their purpose? I don’t know much about filmmaking in general so that’s why I ask this dumb question.

I know Mixmaster got a job with a real Cement company, and Sentinel is at the headquarters of the company that made his alt-mode.

Jolt's at Epcot last I heard, and Dino was basically on loan from Ferrari anyway

Depends. Specials like Dino get returned to manufacturer, more generics probably get sold at auction or returned to a Hollywood motorpool for use in other films. In some cases perhaps the cast or crew buy them for sentimental reasons.

If they're good they go to truck heaven however if they've sinned, they have to star in a below average kids film with larry the cable guy.

Some are auctioned off, some are stored in the paramount vault.

Jolt isn't a Epcot and hasn't been for quite awhile actually. They did have him and Sideswipe there for a short period of time after ROTF. If Jolt is still there then he is in storage and hasn't been on display for about 8 years. Topspin and Roadbuster I believe are at Hendricks motorsports. No idea on Leadfoot

I thought I read somewhere the Sentinel Prime truck was either sold or donated to a nuclear power plant.

    Great topic and poll!

AOE Galvatron is at Freightliner/Western Star facility lobby. TF1/ROTF/DOTM Opimus Primes: one was bought by NASCAR race team owner Rick Hendrick; the other sold off and supposedly re-built into a tow truck. I believe some of the ROTF and DOTM vehicles were returned to GM after filming. Starscream was returned to the USAF after filming to live in cognito as an F-22 Raptor. The AOE/TLK Optimus trucks used to tour but are most likely in storage now. As stated in a post above, Mixmaster is an actual working cement truck.

I know that a friend of my Father owns the Bumblebee from one of the Origins 3 films. I’ll see if I can find the image of it later

Most of them are in Paramount's possession, however GM has a copy of most of the vehicles they put in the film. One of the trilogy Optimus Prime trucks are on display at Paramount Studios on their tour there and yes, the other Rick Hendrick owns via the Barrett Jackson auction. I was also informed from a credible source that Hendrick has one of TLK Bee Camaros...

I'd also like to add GM auctioned off the Jazz Pontiac Solstice they had for around $22k originally post bailout. Then someone on the forums posted that it was for sale again and perhaps has a new owner. The 67 Bee Camaro that Bay owned after AOE also went to the same Barrett Jackson auction as the Optimus Prime truck. It was sold to the "fat ass" guy on the HMS Alliance sub in TLK. The car came with a walk-on role, which was nice of Bay.

    This

It was on display at the Mack Trucks Historical Museum in Allentown, PA and then down the block so to say at America on Wheels. Now it is most likely back at the Mack Trucks Historical Museum.

It wasn't sold off and rebuilt. I believe only two trucks were made for the first three films (I could be wrong) and yes, one Hendrick owns and the other Paramount still has on display. My question is, which truck was on display for HASCON?

Must of been such a cool sight to see!!

I'm sure AOE Drift was returned to Bugatti. Personally I'm most interested in where Beater Bee wound up. I know they sold it, but the idea that someone might have fucked with it somehow....that's a piece of American film history. If my music career takes off (as if loll) I'm gonna find it.
