751D4C60-B9D1-4BEF-87BA-57BAFB83540C.jpeg The one I got is all good. Dry like the desert.

Shoulder joints are pretty tight. Hip joints are tighter!

No paint issues and I have the 2nd face.

(Apologies, not sure why image is skewed)

I hope I’m not the minority, instead part of the silent majority.

what are you planning to do with the stripped screws?
personally I think that's the BIGGEST issue & not easily solved

some pointer from you (or others) would be nice

Have already accessed the hip joints that was giving me scares each time I posed or transformed him.

The 4 stripped screws I got that were holding the crotch together (pictured) doesn’t really matter so much I guess? The skirts panel were holding the crotch together anyway.

Well, I guess as mine dried out it exposed the shoulder ratchet issues.

By the time I left work, his shoulders were immovable. Doh!

Out of the box they were fine. I'll open 'em and grease them.

From previous posts, I think that's the least of your issues now. Those screws seem to be coming out stripped. I wonder if it has anything to do with them getting wet and then drying later? Like, once you get it and see these issues, don't let it dry. Take it apart and then let it dry. Re-assemble with grease and glue.

The metal they use for the screws are most likely shit as well. Trying to keep costs down and everything. Probably just a matter of time before they all turn to dust after being exposed to water. There are just some spots you can’t try.

So I wonder what kind of condition the screws will be in from US retailers if the bots are starting to dry out and those shipments are still in transit.

I imagine the problem is the plastic was saturated when the screws were applied and it's now starting to shrink as it dries out.

Part of me is trying to convince myself to view this as more of a model than an action transforming figure.

I mean if I'm willing to eyeball a Russian Star Destroyer kit for a tad over a hundred that has no electronics and is maybe 2ft long then by extension this isn't much different. Right?

I'll try silicone spray first like Mentasm did, then go from there. Not too worried, I enjoy the tinkering part.

Just finished watching the hockey game so I’ve finally opened mine. This is a big boy!! Okay quick check. It’s dry. Moisture must’ve evaporated cause I do see droplets stains. Easily wiped off with a cloth. No moisture in the plastic bag with the spare head. Leg joints are tight but movable. Right shoulder is movable. Left shoulder is rock solid. Not budging so I’m not forcing it until I put some silicon lubricant on it. Haven’t looked closely for mold yet, gonna do that next.

My 3D printed Autobot symbol looks great on the chest so when jream makes his available for sale you’ll get a great upgrade!

I used the dimensions previously provided as 1x1inch. I’d say the height is .2mm shorter and .2mm wider. Hell just look at the numbers on the caliper.

I would stretch the springs of the loose ratchets.
If there is a friction joint, Tighten the screws if there are any but it there are not, floor polish them up. The condensation or bath may have affected the materials.

    Why would they? lol..
I mean what are retailers or Dx9 supposed to do? This isn't Amazon (vendor ) or a Giant toy company (hastak); they aren't going to eat this.
They didn't on their UT Onslaught. Which had just as bad QC for the most part (but wasn't delivery sopping wet).

If the ratchets are really too tight that the enclosure is "bursting" at every click, the spring may need to be compressed with pliers or even cutting the spring. Get *slightly* thicker screws or with more wider grooves for the stripped screws. Or follow this helpful conversation:
DX9 D12 Gabriel (not Omega Supreme)

DX9/UT has always had issues with ratchets. More pronounced in their figures recently.
Too bad as their molds and designs are pretty fabulous. No reason not to patch this guy up.

Well, because while some people are definitely having issues (and those issues definitely need to be addressed by DX9) it remains to be seen just how widespread the issues are. A lot of people are reporting less severe issues, and some people are reporting no issues at all.

'Grats on your team forcing a game 7, eh. You guys have some great young talent over there and I won't be surprised if you get the Cup in the next few years.

Still gotta root for the 3peat, though.;)

I’d say under the bed! Or maybe place him behind her collection of purses and if and when she finds him and tries to get mad you can justify his expense when you compare his cost to how much she spends on her purses! Just a suggestion man. Good luck!  :p :D

    Um.
    WTF is going on?!
It looks like there are a bunch of serious issues--?
Damn. Should've bought TG when it was reasonable.

Lubricated the shoulders and the outward hip ratchets. Moving smoothly now. Now to figure out the front/backward hips.

I don’t think the Leafs are contenders yet this year. Defense needs a bit more seasoning.

Don’t mind the penguins doing a 3 peat. Kessels a beast and a great guy. Stupid media/bandwagon herd here drove him out of town.

Hey man, Could you consolidate your pics on how you accessed the hips? Gotta find a way in there to lubricate that point. Thanks.

Damn. 1:30am Deal with the toy later. Gotta sleep for work tomorrow. Haha.

Just curious, what lubricant are you using for the joints?

    Ok, just chill ;)
I mean, it's just a toy. Getting a toy that's damaged isn't a "catastrophe". Whereas the problems are pretty significant, particularly jarring on a thing this expansive, and I'm not surprised by people canceling their orders, and the whole situation certainly sucks, it's not the end of the world.
I'm not sure about the degree to which water damages plastic. Metal is another thing. As much as I hate to admit it, it seems that the figures were exposed to the elements, and that the condensation, cold weather, etc. affected the hardware, particularly the ratchets.

Yeah, unfortunately I think this is a real risk. The screws are already brittle, and I don't think lying in a box with moisture for a few month will do them any good. In honesty, DX9 ought to recall them, clean them up, and replace the faulty elements. However, I'm not sure whether its financially viable for them. It actually may be more cost efficient for them to wait some time and offer them at a discount (with the 'discount items have no warranty' notice), but then again, this will really hit at their reputation. There's a reason why Fanstoys decided that smashing a run of Quakewaves may actually be a good business move.
