I dont see this selling in the US. Must be nice to live in China where you can play with toy guns and not get shot by a poorly trained cop.

It shows up again in a vision that Drift has, which features Grimlock, so it’s not that out of the realm of possibility to see that from Nerf, someday, maybe.

Meanwhile, I wonder if MMC will include the sword that Grimlock dug up in the MTMTE Revolutions One Shot with MMC’s “Trux?”

I’m not sure I’d want that as a full prop, but I suppose some would mount it on a wall, like this replica.

And, I do readily recognize the failures of policing, but I’m gunna hope people would only take this it out in public at a convention or a costume party, granting, for example, a couple dressed as Harly and the Joker got shot at an Aussie nightclub costume party after the cops showed up because funnyface was fooling around with a plastic gun.

 

I'm not usually interested in props but I may get this if it's not unreasonably expensive (under $200).

 

I would totally buy this and keep it in my gun safe just for the sheer heck of it. I don't care how much it costs.

 

I had a nearly full sized M-16 replica toy as a kid and took it outside to play all the time back in the 80s. No orange cap, no fluorescent camo color, all black. Hell anybody remember Zap It ? It was black and shaped like an UZI. Everybody knew these things were toys because nobody except maybe Pablo Escobars hitmen had real ones. (Yes im from Miami lol) But now that Bubba, Earl, and Roscoe all have AR-15s to shoot paper targets people will assume its real. Maybe if people werent allowed to build their own private militas, one would know a fake gun when they see one. But then again, what would I know? When the zombie apocalypse comes I guess ill be s**t outta luck right?

 

The law is especially stupid when legion Megatron needs an orange plug, just in case a policeman mistakes a 3-inch gun for the real thing???  

But yeah, I'm here to ask the obvious question: if I take this thing outside, and it DOESN'T have an orange muzzle... will the police assume I'm brandishing an RPG????  

 

It's a possibility that both of our points could be the case. I think Hasbro would rather not have kids/adults die due to their products.

I wasn’t around in the 80s so I didn’t even know this. Y’all could actually play with toy guns that looked like real guns, outside in public, and no one cared or got scared? Man, shows how much our society has gone down the toilet, doesn’t it?

 

Precisely...and that makes me wonder how this company thinks they'll get away with a toy rifle without any such safety features.

Believe it or not thats how it was. Im 41 now and I can tell you firsthand the world has gone to crap.

Heres one of my favorite 80s toys...we used to have wars out in the street with these and always bought the red ink....never the blue.

 

I want one in 1-1 scale!
