Isn't this the same franchise with a guy named "Elan Sleazebaggano"? Idk, I think Therm Scissorpunch fits in well with the established franchise.
Disney is really milking the SW franchise from the get go huh? Star Wars every year? Then Hasbro & retailers will complain the toys is not selling fast as expected. It's their own fault. If they release all SW movies at least every 2 years, parents will buy the toys coz it's NEW. From a practical stand point, will you buy your kid SW toys yearly? Rouge One toys isn't that too old to buy a new one from TLJ line. For me, Disney should make a movie about Luke Skywalker between Episode 6 and 7. I think Luke still have his own Jedi adventures after defeating his Vader and Sidious. Like Anakin and Obi-Wan's "Clone Wars". They could cast Sebastian Stan (Bucky/Winter Soldier) as a "still young" Luke. His resemblance to a young Mark Hamill is good enough. And Stan is under Disney's contract coz of the MCU films. And by a "Skywalker: A Star Wars story" film, they could explain the origins of Supreme Leader Snoke. And this film could be Disney's "I'm Sorry" film for the fans that felt betrayed in Episode 8. Like, there's no Rey's parentage origin linking to Luke. Or Luke not having a REAL Lightsaber duel with Kylo Ren. And the "instant death" of Luke in thin air. Come on, these stuffs above are fan's expectations that got failed.
Can I just say how thrilled I am that we now have a Transformers character named Thermidor and a Star Wars character named Therm and they are both lobster dudes?
While I am looking forward to this movie, Scissorpunch just reminds me too much of Scissorhands. So if you punch someone, you are using your hands.
Why does she need to be linked to Luke, that just shrinks the universe. Although Luke was using Similfuturus, that was his skill and actual self fighting Kylo, the only thing that he did that he could not have done if he was physically there, would be to go unscathed by the AT-AT blasters. I found the usage of this technique fitting for someone still on the ropes of self-hatred and feeling perhaps a bit scared and failure in meeting Leia and Kylo again. And I mean, it took a lot out of him, you try casting a perfect self duplicate planets over and keep it stable through multiple blasts and most likely being run through by a lightsaber from your nephew. Made sense to me that he ended up dying from it, that's a lot of physical, mental and spiritual strain on one's self. As for current handling of the films, for me, I'm excited, it was so long between episode 3 and episode 7 for getting a real star wars movie. As love as they a fun and star wars, that and the anthology films are also fun and don't go overboard of side character backstories and handle more real stories like Rouge One across various time periods. I can't complain, star wars is still star wars and I love it, Also not dismissing you're opinion, just stating mine is all.
Yeah, I went to see The Last Jedi at the beginning of the year and I enjoyed it. I am looking for ward to the Solo movie as well. I loved Rogue One when I saw it I almost broke out in applause.
I'm hearing there are lots of new Stormtroopers in this one. Range Trooper Mudtrooper Patrol Trooper Mimban Stormtrooper Any I'm missing?
Is it bad that I watched the second trailer and immediately thought about how it might be with the "I'm Han Solo" song?
I was going to make a statement regarding these new Stormtrooper models in these prequel movies thinking they don't make sense other than making new toys, but then I remembered the Sandtroopers, Snowtroopers and Scout Trooper and these prequel movies are showing us new environments not seen in the originals so it would make sense to have different and new troopers in them.
Standard stormtroopers, the Black Stormtrooper suits for piloting tie fighters, Snowtroopers on Hoth, Stormtrooper suits for Speeder Bikes... all in the OT. So why can’t other films have other Stormtrooper outfits?
