Also, if people were mistreated, they should have walked out a long time ago like Phelous and Lupa did. No one forced them to stay with CA. They chose to stay with the abuse. First who do you expect to go back and just make videos? The people speaking out or doug....cuz I gotta tell ya....if doug was smart he'd take off the tie and disappear for awhile. If it's the others well....they will. Problem is right now this is what people want to hear. Some of these stories need to get out there and be talked about. How many years was jewwario treated like a saint only to find out he's basically king jellybean from rick and morty? Many didn't tell their story because jw killed himself but in channel awesome's brilliance, they brought it to light while saying all former contributors are liars. Not a good look... Like it or not this affects a lot of people and this kind of scummy business needs to have a light shined on it. Bare in mind this is a ton of bombshell shit dropped in like a two week time period. This will be talked about for some time....a shame it inconveniences your entertainment consumption but in time these reviewers will go back to their schedules and routine. You're just going to have to wait out the storm like everyone else. Personally I can't understand how you don't realize the magnitude and future ramifications of all this. Why would you want to go back to watching their videos anyway? Ignoring that Nostalgia Critic has pretty much become a relic of the past, unable to move on from yelling about a movie with shallow criticisms while all the other producers from the same era and are still around have advanced in the quality of their videos (unless, of course, you count terribly unfunny skits as an advancement for NC), they've their not really people worth our support. Doug is of course complicit in a lot of the things in those documents and Tamara and Malcolm, who people still had some affection for, made the absolutely moronic decision to retweet the second response (Tamara even put a love-heart; because a statement declaring that everyone speaking out about abuse is vindictive liars, "accidentally" revealing the identity of a dead molester that the victim wanted to stay anonymous and specifically attacking the women is so heartwarming) and then began passively aggressively tweeting at people who called out how bad the response was. Just... I can't imagine watching any of them and still enjoying it after all of this.

People seem to forget how absolutely fucking nuts the internet was a few years ago, when Gamergate was in full swing and women who spoke up about anything would be hunted down by gangs of sexually-frustrated mouth-breathers. It's understandable why the victims would be scared of people's reactions as well as that the producers who knew, many of whom had been personally targeted by the same groups who would be attacking them, wouldn't disobey their wishes. Even if that wasn't a thing, going public about a victim telling you about being sexually abused without the victim's permission is just all kinds of messed up for the reasons said in that tweet thread.
