Yes, since he can be both Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime. I have no problem with him being Leader-sized in Prime mode.

I think Protector is ugly, not to mention dated.

If you can find at a decent price
Cloud Rodimus is the best looking to date

This guy was a lot more fun than I thought.

I have and love Protector. Not sure that either looks better than the other.

But happy with PotP Rodimus. Best part is he's not a Head/Titan Master. I hate that gimmick.

Bought Unicronus a couple days ago. Dear god I love that thing. I mean, yeah, the smaller robot mode and transformation to evil space Winnebago mode isn’t that great, but I love everything else about him. I just love the blockiness of the larger robot mode, and that face sculpt! Goddamn I love it. It’s just amazing overall. I would definitely recommend him over normal Rodimus.

I initially bought and returned Rodimus because the shoulders bugged me, but I've bought 2 now after coming up with some mods that made him a lot funner and more aesthetically pleasing for me. Now I can't put him down!

Yeah like I said the flaws just got worse as time went on. The heads only go L+R and Roddy has a flat back of the head. And hotrods arm pipes could have been so much better in sculpting

I just wish the faces were sculpted less grumpy-cat. Generations figures think Rodimus is the new Kup, I guess...

Rodimus Prime, and Rodimus Unicronus are both fun...but not perfect. They're missing a free narks.
I adore Rodimus Unicronus' color scheme.

Yes, definitely. It's both visually pleasing and fun to mess around with. I can't say that often.

Is that the Dr Wu faceplate on your Protector? Looks good.

I just realized, that his powered up form looks like a grandpa in a cumbersome armor. And it's all because of the shoulders and his face which looks too old.

You know, Protector may be outdated but his silhouette and proportions are so heroic. POTP Rodimus Prime just can't even touch them.

I'm apparently in the minority. I not only have the Protector armor, I have the clear variant as well and I think they look garbage. I wouldn't call them a significant regret as a purchase, but I wish I had been more patient. Or rather, I wish I had just jumped on that Cloud version when I had the one and only chance I had to purchase it.

POTP Rodimus Prime is worse than I thought it would be. It looks and feels like a KO. I feel ripped off despite only paying half price for it.

My problem with the POTP leaders is that you get a cut rate deluxe figure and a hollow armor suit for $45. You end up with a leader sized robot but these things just don't feel like they warrant a near $50 purchase. They all seem to use barely more plastic and are far less complicated than Voyagers, but sell for $20 more. Like just the fact that they are bigger should mean a higher price.

While the new deluxe Hot Rod is an amazing G1 styled bot, he isn't anywhere near as good as the TR Hot Rod. I really wish you could use TR Hot Rod in the power armor, but then what would be the point of the new deluxe figure?

My main criticism is the partsforming arms. They don't fit into the trailer well and are a pain to snap on and off. I feel like the little clasps on Hot Rod will break easily and then you'll end up with a worthless toy. I find it funny that Optimus gets real arms but Rodimus uses half of Hot Rod's legs and not to good effect either. Plus the red plastic not matching between the trailer and Hot Rod.

He's a compromised figure but a very good looking one. It seems like that is the running theme for Leader class lately.

Since I already own MP-28 I have no use for another G1 styled Hot Rod. This is my Rodimus Prime.

I think he looks geat but still am confused why people try to move his arms at the joints that aren't his shoulders.
