Jesus christ, calm down  ! Ypu artistic bunch are really a handfull. This isn't some picture made by a master artist, is a freaking toy brand we're talking about. We are lucky we got quality content from something made just to sell toys. And yes there is quality, Beast Wars, Animated, Prime, the IDW comics, each has a great number of fans for a reason.

Face the reality, the real world is not moved by art, but by money and love :D ... but mostly money xD.

i don't see that happening- but at this point if it somehow did, it might end up being TF's best chance at actually getting some respectable movies.

Serious question: what demographic are you in? i.e age range? I'd like to reply but it's easier if I know the context you're coming from.

As long the cartoons don't end up like...
The Rise of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I don't like our beloved TFs turned into a Psychedlic Cartoon of some sort.
    :lol :

TLK didn't do well. Come on. Everyone knows it. Who he's fooling?
How come there's so much hate compared to AOE?

Of course the fella is just doing a formality remarks for the sake business.
It's what businessmen does. "Everything is just fine". As long retailers buys a shit load from them, they're secured.
It's the retailers problem how will they sell ALL the stuff they've ordered from Hasbro. Including pegwarmers.

This is like how Hasbro screwed up the mold of MPM-4 on initial releases.
But they never admitted their fault why the initial releases of MPM-4 are faulty in varying degrees.
And "everything is fine" since many retailers are getting MPM-4s from them.

It's like a Vicious Cycle. Like it or not, it still happening.

But you gotta admit Hasbro still making good stuff apart from Transformers.
I'm an avid supporter of their Marvel Legends line. Even they started in 6" action figures with total suckery.
Hell... Horse Fuck Face Emma Frost in their 1st ML line, fans giving them a chance..
They've improved overtime. Took a hiatus. Return in the ML scene with so much improvement.
And now they're being hailed among 6" action figure fans to the point of dissing and kicking the ass of Mattel's quality of action figures be put to shame.

The movie-verse... well they given so much free hand to paramount.
    And well everything is history.

    BUT they're listening to fans.
PROOF: The CHUGS... Especially Combiner Wars, Titans Return and Power of the Primes.
If anyone will say, Hasbro isn't listening then that's a total april fools.

Realistically all of this probably won't change anything, but it seems like it'll be a positive change if any. For me the series has basically been kept alive entirely by the classics series' toy lines and comics and this isn't going to affect either of those. All of the movies and every TV series since animated have been pretty subpar IMO and I really couldn't get into any of them, so I guess it's good that they seem to be trying to improve in those fields. Even if they make those worse it doesn't bother me since I've stopped watching them entirely and stopped expecting anything from them.

Which is fine, the brand will live on as long as we keep getting things like classics-esque lines and other media referencing and relating to the more popular series(G1,BW,etc) We don't really need the new stuff to be good(would be nice if it was) we just need it to exist as a way of perpetuating the brand in general i guess. idk really.

Hasbro taking greater control will actually benefit the brand. In a way it's totally understandable for them to do so at this point. If we look more into it:

    1. Transformers Live Action Movies by Paramount pleases the TF Movie Fans like you and me. But for the general audience, the movies are synonymous with the word 'Bad'. It's practically a yardstick now. So many times, I've heard the statement "The movie X may be bad, but it's not Transformers bad". Transformers is Hasbro's property. The reputation is their's to maintain. Hasbro must do their merchandising business. They just can't run on Royalty Fees. Sure, Paramount helped to bring the series to a modern audience, but things are not looking well now. Paramount is trying to turn things around, which is good. Hasbro is merely pointing the direction out to them. Many things happened behind the scenes since 2011. It's a story for another time.

    2. Hasbro gifted their most beloved property to Cartoon Network in the form of RID. So, what did CN do? Placed it in a deathslot. I sincerely hope that Cyberverse will go to another. The 5-Year agreement with Paramount has TV content in it. Paramount is owned by Viacom who also owns Nickelodeon. Chances are that Cyberverse will go to Nick. If it does indeed happen, Hasbro will still have a greater say in how the series will air.

So you see, Hasbro having greater control isn't a bad thing on paper. We'll just have to wait and see how the execution is going to happen.

I'm waiting on either Bay or someone from Paramount to admit they dropped the ball with TLK.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm starting to get the same feeling I had in 2006/2007 before the release of the first Bay movie. A feeling of slightly giddy, yet cautious, optimism. I saw (here on TFW) what appeared to be a test shot of a VW alt mode for the upcoming Bee movie. One way or another, this is going to be a new beginning. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.

With all the cord cutting these days you have to wonder if they might be better off going with one of the popular streaming services for the cartoon. It seems like all Cartoon Network wants to do is show Teen Titans Go and almost nothing else. Plus from some of the what's coming to Cartoon Network videos I just don't see the sort of content that will drag kids away from Disney or Nick to watch Cartoon Network enough to even know they had a new Transformers cartoon.

Over on the live action movie side I think people need to give Paramount some time to get the studio back in order. It's not a quick and easy thing to just change course when it comes to making movies. With Paramount not being the largest of the Hollywood studios it's not like they have the money to do a rapid turn around.

What? Are you scoffing? I heard something bad about TFs from ordinary viewer only one time and it was back in 2009. I asked tens (if not hundreds) of people in different countries (including US!), my friends, relatives, neighbors, travel companions in hostels, trains, planes, etc, children and adults. I see numerous people in twitter, who write many positive things even about TF5! You yourself said that TF Movies are very popular in Shri-Lanca. At the same time very little amount of people watch those shitty shows like RID. And if the Movies would be considered as bad, they wouldn't earn ~4,5 billions. Yes, maybe TF5 was not so successful, but it is definetely worse, than previous ones. And you can't erase their huge success! If you would be a Movie fan, you would never lie about general audience to please Bay-haters here, who repeat the same lie for years.

I'm sick of this site. Sick of stupid people, who live in surreal nostalgic world and spit on actual life, other people's opinions, other nations around the world and enormous work of filmakers, because... IT'S JUST A VOGUE TO COPY THE DECEITFUL FOOLISH WORDS OF THE SMALLEST GROUP OF VENAL, IGNORANT, WORTHLESS PEOPLE, WHO CALLED THEMSELVES "PROFFECIONAL CRITICS", when there is no such speciality in any college and university! They just TRY TO COMPENSE THEIR INCAPACITY AND THE LACK OF TALENTS BY BASHING EVERYTHING THEY WANT. You all are slaves of them, of hypocrisy, stereotypes and lie, except of a few sane people here. This is atrocious! Hypocricy killed Jesus Christ and many other good people, who tried to change a world. I don't want to spend my time here anymore. I don't want to call myself a Transformers FAN, because absolute majority of fans are idiots. They can't see the goodness just under their nose and are obsessed with unoriginal, stupid, childish media. Good bye, people! You gave me enough anger and hatred.

Alright, see you around then, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Are you alright? Do you need a Snickers? You aren’t you when you’re hungry. Snickers satisfies.

I’d also like to mention that people are entitled to have their opinion, regardless of what it is, it’s something they own and control and you shouldn’t allow that to bother you. We are also allowed to express our opinions openly, whether you choose to read or reply to it is entirely up to you.

Also “hypocrisy killed Jesus Christ”, please don’t start a discussion or debate about this, not here at least.

Side note, it’s Sri Lanka not Shri-Lanca.

Honestly, I don't even know what his point is anymore. all I can picture is some creepy dude asking everyone about transformers EVERY where he goes. for research obviously.

The movies are bad. That is not an opinion based on the success or likeability of the film. it's been said 100,000 times. They're great entertainment and for anyone who wants to sit back and watch an action movie with the need to focus on story or character development. but they disregard some very basic tenants of storytelling, no one is asking for an award wining work of intellectual art, just let us actually meet the characters and learn to hate or love them before they get smashed to bits. The largest complaint anyone should have on EVERY one of these movies is the huge amount of resources, time and energy it takes to put these movies together, and with all that planning and technical skill, why would you go through the effort to leave something so rudimentary like a story or character arc fall so flat. (insert the movie of your choice.) It's just opportunity (impressively huge opportunity) to really bring that to the table WITH the Bay level action.

Now I'm sad thinking about it.

You only quoted just a portion of what I actually said. Which makes it look way out of context. In my country, there a company called 'Ceylon Theaters Limited'. They are the ones who do business with Paramount Pictures. For AOE and TLK they enlisted my help for the promotional campaign. They asked for my opinion on how to carry things out. AOE was a huge success. Maybe not more than DOTM and ROTF, but it was one of the most successful movies here. TLK on the other hand suffered a bit. It ran for two weeks before being taken off the theaters, since it was not filling seats. I was devastated because me and my good friend shouted "F*** Critics" at the end of TLK because despite all the negative reactions, I enjoyed it immensely.

There are some good stuff when it comes to Transformers movies. But the critics and the media are not kind to the series. Hence, the audience now see a negative aspect. Transformers isn't the only franchise going through the same ordeal. In the eyes of the audience, DC movies are perceived as bad. The comparison is with Marvel. They are the yardstick for good summer popcorn flicks.

I'm not an optimist. I'm not a pessimist. I'm a realist. My glowing appreciation for the Transformers movies comes from the fact that it singlehandedly introduced the franchise to countries who have never even heard of the word "Transformers". No matter how many people deny this, I say it again that it was Bayverse which saved the franchise from dying at the hands of 'Digital Media'. The physical toys became cool again. But, the same countries are now exposed to a much bigger juggernaut. Marvel. Everything else just pales in comparison. Not even the once mighty Star Wars franchise can compete with it.

What I said was not scoffing. It was not negative. It's a realistic point of view into the situation today.

Trust me, my friend. I will campaign again. I will still soldier on. I will still request Ceylon Theaters Limited to bring Bumblebee: The Movie here. I will keep on playing my part to help this franchise. I have faith in Travis Knight. But that does not mean I'll hate Bay. If I meet him one day I'll just go up to him and shake his hands. Say thank you for saving a beautiful franchise. IF Bayverse movies will come to and end, do not lament its absence, for in my spark, I know that this is not the end, but merely a new beginning. Simply put, another transformation.
