I called my CC company and they said to wait until the first item arrives (blue Searchlight) and then file a claim on the remainder. If Searchlight doesn't arrive, then they'll file a claim on the whole amount (the tracking number doesn't work as of yet and it supposedly shipped a week ago). I think this guy is BestGrey from Amazon. His listing for the original Toyworld Chase says "model: bestgrey240". Worst case scenario I get all my money back but have to search again for the blue Searchlight AND yellow Chase. Best case I get my money back for the yellow Chase and Searchlight is mine.
If this is KO Toys MIke there on this site... that's how he operates. He never sends what you order, or if he does, it is broken or missing parts. Then you have to hassle with him on replacements or a refund, and he always delivers that, but you are left with a bad experience and spent too much effort on something. Also, once you "offend" him - by leaving bad feedback or complaining about receiving not what you ordered - you are put on his "grudge list" and now you can ALWAYS expect him to mess with your future orders. Just searc this site for KOToys + Mike, you will find what I mean.
Yes, the manager of that place is Mike Horvath, and yes, he IS a mean-spirited bully. Just to tell you how one of my orders (that I placed for not just myself but other Hungarian buyers) went back in 2010 or so... -I ordered 3 ROTF Bludgeons, a Takara version Insecticon, and an Ejector. -I got 2 Banzai-trons instead, one of whom was broken in half at the waist. I got an Insecticon who had two left side wings. And an Ejector who had the silver paint scratched off beyond recognition... -After raising a Paypal claim (this wasn't my first rodeo with him) of course as usual, he waited until the claim expired, then suddenly refunded everything. So yes, he lost money on this... he just did it to mess with someone who wanted to buy stuff from him. Even so I got some cheap toys from him that would have cost much more elsewhere - like Animated Blackout - but overall, dealing with him was a pain and not recommended. Hasbro eventually shut down his operation of selling factory-smuggled toys and then he faded into obscurity as he can only sell KOs now.
I never had a problem with KOtoys Mike... but this site? I'm glad I got my red Rollbar without hassle. I'm just ticked about them changing the pictures of the item AFTER I bought and then when I wanted refunded the $40 + $8 shipping for the missing figure, he said he wouldn't refund the $8 shipping because it cost $20 to ship the other figure. No, his site said $8.. I want my $47.99 refund.
Finally finally finally, after days and time spent emailing a refund has appeared at last. HOWEVER, I would never ever risk or use them again for the reason's given that they asked for more money and would not honour the price. Thank goodness this is over for me, as £70 was a lot of money. I just hope Thundershot gets his sorted out.
You generally don't have problems with Mike if you never complain about anything to him, and never leave bad feedback on him here or elsewhere. I made the mistake of doing so after he did not send the first items I bought from him even after 4 weeks, and never replied to my emails. He made up some bull**** excuse and sent the stuff - and I retracted my feedback, alongside another buyer who had the same problem. However, the ROTF Rampage he sent in that first lot was missing a head and a leg - it took him another month to send a replacement. I at the time thought this was a mistake, but seeing this happen to other people later, I realized this was his "subtle" way of messing with people who he considers to have "slighted" him. Also, there is a reason he is banned from TFW2005, btw.... I don't think that thread exists anymore, but there were racist comments and threats of physically hurting someone when the mods intervened. You say "they", does this mean it is still his long-suffering poor chinese girlfriend who does all the communication and work for him?
I don't post much and just usually browse the front page, but I gotta show my appreciation that this thread exists. I've been looking all over for a Fans Want It FWI-3M (still kicking myself for passing it when it came out for whatever reason) and the only places I could find it was at the sketchy looking tf-toy and acetoy. Desperate enough, I tried to place a order and had my CC fail at checkout multiple times. I emailed the guy and ask if he could send a Paypal invoice and was informed his Paypal account was shutdown. He also said to try again, but if it still doesn't work, "you can try west union if you trust us." And there was a picture of FWI-3M saying he has it and it's at a cheap price. Thing is, the pic is a screenshot from a video. Boy oh boy. I've never used Western Union, and the service seems safe, but I don't trust that dude. If it wasn't for this thread, I'm desperate enough I might have chanced it. Luckily, I realized that I never tried searching at a Japanese auction site and was able to find one at about the same price.

I'm glad I looked this site up, I keep getting a "this page has Malware" piping up from my antivirus and that shot off warning bells. Wanted to get a Iron Factory Sonictech set for a good price but I'm going to have to look elsewhere. I don't trust this site with my money after reading about them here. This site also gives me a bad impression, so I tried to find some info and I found your post. In my case it is a figure that I have no way of finding . Yesterday there was a unit of stock, today no longer, although they ask me for 20 dollar as a pre order, and they will let me know if they have another sock. The only thing I like is that there are indications of payments by paypal, and since paypal has behaved well on a couple of occasions that I have had problems, I would not mind "risking" those 20 dollars. I will keep you informed
DO NOT ORDER PRODUCTS FROM THIS GUY, HE'S A CONMAN AND A CROOK. He's shady as hell. First off, the site never charges you what they claim is the price. It's always like 5 percent more (what they claim is international exchange rate or taxes or some nonsense) so $119 will magically turn into $128 and so on. Secondly, they claim to have items in stock that they don't have, or they'll try to radically hawk up the prices once they know you're interested. You'll see the same figure on their site advertised for three different prices, all claiming to be MISB, and once you click on the cheapest one they'll email you saying they don't have it, and you'll magically see a listing for the same thing on the site an hour later for an increased price. If only it stopped there. That jerk claimed to have a Dr. Wu DW-P22E for Wheeljack, which basically no retailer has, for $14.99. I eagerly paid. Then he emailed me to say it'd be $14.50 more. Okay, fine, I really want it, I paid that too. Then he emails to say he doesn't have it. So I ask for my refund for all of it plus the FT-13 Mercenary I paid for. He keeps trying to make me accept the Mercenary and I refuse and claims he sent a refund for my whole purchase 12 days ago. I haven't seen a penny of it. I finally had to get my bank to intervene on my behalf.
I am dissapoint, He has a ko of the kiss players manga compendium listed which I am morbidly curious about. But given what people say I am hessitant to order from him, which is a shame as the only official one I can find is about £250 and no-one seems to have scanned it online.
I'm sorry to hear your trailer was damaged but I'm happy that you were one of the few who actually seem to have gotten what they ordered. If you don't mind my asking how long did it take to ship to you? TF-Toys seems to be hit or miss with more misses than hits. Unfortunately I came across this thread a little too late as I have already placed 2 orders with them. I ran into that same dilemma of TF-Toys seemed to be one of the few places that have rare Transformers and out of that few they were the only ones who had what I wanted. I ordered a FT08 Grinder head and a DMY Intimidator kit, 2 separate orders on 2 separate days. I was able to use my credit card for one but due to the sites security issues I had to use Western Union for the other. I am not a fan of paying through Western Union however having bought various items in the past overseas and paying using WU I have had no prior issues so I wasn't bothered using it here. I just don't care too much due to it being a bother getting refunds from them. This site does gave me a bad vibe due to the multiple listings of the same item with heavily fluctuating prices but sometimes when you want something bad enough you have to take a chance. I'm waiting for my payments to clear and will post updates but so far the person working there has been in good communication with me. The owners name is Xuegang Sun and he lives in Beijing, not the Mike whom others have referenced. Xuegang does not just run TF-Toy he also runs acetoy.net. He emailed me yesterday with these pics of the DMY kit.... The first thing I pointed out was that it was missing the spoiler. I was told "empty gap means not include ,we only send you items as picture ,thank you". I responded by sending him pics of a complete kit as well as pics of spoiler up close so he could see what I was referring to and asked him to please check a different kit for a complete set. He said he would. As of right now I have mixed feelings about this place. If I end up being scammed I am confident I'll get my money back regardless even if I get both items in perfect condition I don't think I will be ordering from them again just due to the hassle. I'm more angry at myself at this point for not buying these items when they first came out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed at this point I am one of the chosen few who gets what they paid for.
