Looks good despite no silver. Definitely gonna get this along with Blackout and Grimlock, just because it’s a good mold. Still wish he could have an optional right hand though

Can Wei Jiang upscale this figure too like they did with the TLK voyager? :lol
If Rendsora is any indication, it’s definitely possible and I’d pick that up in a heartbeat despite not being my favorite movie Megatron design

It definitely looked better when it was hand painted, but I'll still pick it up if it goes on sale. It will make for a nice Kaiju for my cool robots to fight. :)

Or they can stop stealing Hasbro's figures and make their own.

The tank tread legs still look awkward, but everything else about ROTF Megatron is perfect.

I wonder if all the pics we\'ve seen so far have Megatron\'s feet mistransformed, and if they\'re supposed to collaps at the knee to make, in fact, the lower legs.

Thankfully in spite of the lack of silver paint, this is a case where the figure still ultimately looks good which I feel is a testament to how Hasbro has thankfully seemed to have learned from AOE that people don\'t want obscene amounts of chrome on their figure or in other words, they have thankfully learned not to pull an AOE leader Grimlock and show a nice color scheme only to then show that the figure looks a lot more ugly for the sake of making it stick out on store shelves. But although this is a trend that admittedly I am used to by this point, I have to ask what exactly was wrong with putting on silver paint. I mean one could possibly say that amounts to budget that doesn\'t even sound like something that would be that expensive.

Considering how much effort it would be to go over all the gray parts with Molotow chrome or Sharpie silver pen?

I’m looking forward to getting this guy purely so I can fully repaint him! I’m gonna make him rusty and battle damaged as hell! Same story with Starscream - maybe minus the rust.

They actually have in some ways. Megamaster for instance had some parts based on MP-36 but ultimately he was a new mold and design. The thing is however it's clear they work best as a KO company making insane improvements and really, if we're going to criticize them for making KOs, why don't we criticize third party figures for doing what is essentially IP theft?

Plus I think it's no problem to hope that WeiJiang makes an upscaled version when you already are getting the original.

    Ebay:
It's not the cost of the paint, it's the cost of the human labor to do the painting that would be potentially cost-prohibitive. Just as the simplification of some mainstream toys was not due to the cost of plastic, but the cost of assembly and the increased QC necessary. Despite being assembled in China and similar places, I would bet that the labor cost is higher than the material costs for a mainline Hasbro Transformer toy.

That would make sense... for the children side of the line where it's obvious most don't really care about film accuracy. With how the Studio Series is more for a different audience however it feels weird, especially when it comes to how Hasbro took a whole bunch of shots of Studio Series Megatron with the silver paint and of course with this whole focus on "brand unification", this means there won't be a better one in-stock. I don't know, again it really doesn't seem like something that'd be that hard and I feel the extra expense is a bit necessary for a line like the Studio Series.
