Not all OS knockoffs are good, but Wei Jiang usually uses equal or better material, better articulation, more paint, more metal, and remolds parts to make them more accurate/less hollow. There is no guarantee what they will actually make though, so I think every thread having people say they are "waiting for the Wei Jiang version" are being a little hopeful.

Anyways, despite not being huge, Grimlock is still a little bigger than some recent leaders, and Blackout is more complex than recent leaders. So, they're both fine to me. Both need to be bought.

 

Heh, I knew it wouldn't be as large as it should be, but I certainly didn't expect it be that small. Was hoping he'd at least be close in height to ROTF Leader Starscream. Ah well.

 

It is disappointing to see how big blackout really is. But hey, I guess it means I should downsize and only keep everything that is in perfect scale.

 

See that's what bothers me most. I don't want to downsize, I've got so many good toys that would have to be cut out of my collection to do so. Most of them, actually.

I just got a payment notice from the collector store that I ordered Blackout from. It means Blackout and Grimlock are on their way. I should have them in a week or 2.

 

How much does it run? Blackout is one of the few Bayformers that I like.

 

Same pricepoint as the TLK Leaders. So $50 USD, IIRC.

 

Considering I missed out on a lot of old movie toys (being a kid back then), Studio series will form the bulk of my bayformers collection. As such I'm not too bothered by the size.

 

Leader class figures have been about this big for four years now. The size of these two should not have been a surprise.

 

Looks amazing one of the few good things about the Bayverse. Now that we have a good Lockdown, Blackout and Optimus Prime I'm set.

 

Man, he's tiny compared to the ROTF/HFTD era Leader figures.   Still an amazing looking figure with a great sculpt but Weijiang needs to make an OS offering of this guy at the Supreme class size point.

Yep.. my collection can't do that small. I love it for that collection scale don't get me wrong, but i defs need an osko.. then again i need an osko of a couple items.
