Just arrived in London after all these years and completely clueless. Forbidden planet has nothing of interest, TRU is closing, and i don't know any other stores which carry TF nearby aside from Hamley's, and they barely have anything.

so where should i go? Is there anything moderately close by that has transformers? like less than 5 miles because I don't wanna spend £13 for the tube trip just to get a £10 figure. google ain't helping much.

Orbital comics is very close to forbidden planet, it's near Leicester Square tube station.

Do you mean Cash Converters? next door to the Looking Glass Wetherspoons? All of what you mentioned has been sat in that Cash Converters for about 3 months, I keep popping in hoping they may have something new in of interest.

There is a Cash Generator (I think that's its name) which is near to Mcdonalds/Burger King, only been in once but they had no TF's that I could see.

There aren't really any in London, no Smyths or trus within the city itself. There's only Hamleys on regent Street for toys which is never cheap buy worth going to just for the experience.

John Lewis has a toy section, I haven't been there for years but worth a try if you're central.

Forgive me for not knowing the exact price you want to pay for two Legends figures.

They scan at £11 in the two nearest me.

Edit - I should add that they are marked as being £14.

So, where are we kids with TRU?
someone posted a picky recently and it seems the price reductions have stalled at 30%.

Do we expect more, or is anyone like me wondering what could be found 'at the back of the warehouse',
mine (Iiiiiiiiiipswich) had nothing much interesting, but that very old Jetfire Hero Masher could have been found somewhere,
would have seen how much he was but I already have about 3, due to them being classic boot finds for some reason.

Time to start offering lower prices lads!
My local one will take offers if something has been clogging up shelves for more than a few weeks.
(I like my Minidisc players, and they get a few which can sit around for a while).

My nearest branch at Bradford is already shuttered up, I'm afraid.

I made it to TRU Sydenham on Sunday. Was hoping there might be a Cogman, but in the end finally picked up two TRU exclusives I'd been putting off: TLK deluxe Megatron (£10.49 after 30% discount) and Star Wars Black Series Hovertank Pilot (£12.58 after 30% discount).

Sadly the £10 till reciept voucher I had was no longer being accepted, so I had to content myself with those discounted prices.

A fair few other TLK toys still on shelves, but very little else, TF-wise. RID warrior class Twinfernos and a Thermidor for £17.99 each. Even with discount that's still more expensive than Tesco had them for last summer.

Staff told me there will be no more restocks for that particular store. Has anyone been to the Croydon branch recently? Is that worth a look?

I've been buying a lot of the stuff from the cash converters. I've had some bargains but you need to check everything for damages. That MP starscream with the broken wing for £70 will never sell. I recently got KO MP soundwave and shockwave from them for £15 each.

The one in Warrington? Damn lucky! Would've definitely been all over that Shockwave! The last thing I bought from them was the oversized toyworld throttlebot Goldbug KO (can't remember the name of the actual figure) for £7.99 last year. I should probably start checking more regularly! Seen quite a few things i'd never thought I would, Citizen Stack, Unique Toys Mania King etc. I often wonder who/where they get them from haha
