    It's very simple.

    PEOPLE LOVE CRAP

Once you recognize that simple truth, a lot of things in life make sense.

Actually, G1 DID win awards. And spawned an animated feature film, and inspired crappy Michael Bay movies and everthing that followed. And is the reason this website exists today.

Most children of the 80s remember the cartoon fondly. Most children in the 21st century have never seen (or even heard of) Robots In Disguise, Prime, Animated, the Unicron Trilogy, or Machinima's Prime Wars trilogy.

Comments like that get you flat out harassed on this site. Despite how accurate that opinion is...

Shhhhhhhhhhh, don't forget that the in crowd thing on this website is to constantly bag on G1 while flat out worshipping BW and TFA.

That is actually one of the great truths of life.
Should be quoted in every condescending movie and taught by all parents to their children.

I like muh GeeWun, and I worship BW, but... Man, I WISH I could worship TFA. It was well-written and -directed, but its visuals were atrocious. TF Prime is worship-worthy though.

Don't sweat it. We'll put Animated up on a steel altar for ya and...I dunno, burn an offering of Derrick Wyatt's discarded glasses to it in worship.

(Who has his discarded glasses? FESS.)

I'll take a great story and great characters with visuals I have to get used to over something that has a garbage story and garbage characters but great visuals.

I think Animated will be beloved by many here long after Prime has been near forgotten about by almost everyone.

prime is definitely worth worshiping. the way they managed to maintain the status quo and make everyone extremely bland in both character and design is unparalleled.

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but... Yeah, the artwork for TF Animated positively KILLED it for me. I wanted to watch it, I really did, and I wanted to like it! I know the writing and directing and characters and voice acting are all top-notch, but the visual style is just so WRONG. It's fine for Teen Titans Go or other such silliness, but I just can't deal with mecha looking like hastily-sketched blobs.

I mean, my god, the drawings are so bad they HURT.

I don't like any of it. I don't like how the pendulum swings between slapstick and edgelord serious. I don't like quite a bit of the "characterization" on some of the main cast. The human villains. Oh sweet PRIMUS the human villains are terrible. Add to that the less than stellar artwork and I was indifferent. Then the fans on here decided to bukkake all over it and bring absolute vitriol and white knighting to ANY post that talked down about the show. Like BW before it, I would have been indifferent to the show itself if it wasn't for the fans.

What the hell was edge lord serious? it got serious at some point but no where near that. And i quite enjoy the art style of Wyatt, you may not enjoy it, but don't say he is a "less than stellar" artist due to that. On the human villains, i could understand Professor Princess, but then again she is supposed to be satire on the whole "girls toys" idea. But what about Meltdown? he is pretty great imo. And why do you hate the characterization? Seeing as you also dislike BW do you just not like changes in the status quo?

First off, why do you need me to justify not liking it? Shouldn't my opinion be enough? Second, assuming I don't like change simply because I don't like BW or TFA, two shows VERY similar in tone, set up, cast size, and fan overhype is a severe stretch. I like the Unicron Trilogy and RID. Actually BOTH RIDs. Not a fan of the Movieverse and TFP which is essentially the worst parts of Bayverse and Animated combined. If a show entertains me, and doesn't try to either treat me like I'm 2 or throw down like an angry 13 year old, I'll pretty much like it.

But mainly, I don't need to justify why I choose to dislike something. And yes, I will say the art style and animation was less than stellar. Which is what I said in the first place. Artwork summed that up, but since you took it as an attack on Wyatt, I have to explain. Justify. Something I shouldn't have to do. You're not planning on correcting me on how to collect next, are you?

i was just asking about why you think the way you do, no need to get aggressive about it. You cant just crap on something and expect others not to ask why you dislike it

There's a difference between saying something like "I wouldn't give my worst enemy a colonic with that tripe" and saying "I dislike that thing". Maybe you need to reread my original post and see where YOU went off the rails on this. Not me.

By the way: just by your actions you are showing yourself to be one of "those fans" that sours me on something I should only be indifferent to.

So asking questions on why you dislike something makes me one of "those fans"?
I read your post and asked questions coresponding to the points you made
