    Yeah, but it can be a ball ache trying to interact with Hatchette. Forever have to chase them up to get anywhere.

    Did they ever correct that Measurement artefact in the Mechanic story in 'The Harder They Die'?

    I don't know if it was actually corrected, but I do remember a few people receiving replacements which still had the error in.

    That's what I'd heard too, it seemed both churlish and ultimately pointless to claim a replacement in that case. I shall continue to leave it.

    Since it wasn't a big error like missing/duplicated pages and such I didn't bother wanting a corrected copy. Far too much of a faff to go through.

    Still, out of thirty issues, about ten of them have had problems. Pretty poor.

    It's weird how many cock ups they've managed with ths collection. I've got the first 60 of the original Marvel collection, 20+ of the Mightiest Heroes collection and all of the Warhammer novels so far, and I don't think there was a single printing error in that lot.

    I know they're re-editing the original tpbs rather than simply reprinting them, but you'd think they'd hire a proof reader or two!

    So far the errors have been (listing the issue numbers not volume)

    Line wide - 1,16,17,
    line wide Not currently corrected - 22, 30
    Limited run - 20, 29

    Hopefully we have seen the last of any errors.

    I still haven't got a replacement for the last mess up that doesn't have the same problem in it.

    I messaged them about getting a corrected replacement for issue thirty but the message doesn't seem to want to go through. Out of about seventy contacts I have on messenger only theirs seems to regularly have this problem.

    My latest book volume 60 (Dark Cybertron) arrived with the front and back cover really badly creased and wrinkled as if it hasn't been assembled correctly. E-mailed Hachette twice now but no reply.

    Have you tried mesaging them on facebook? People's experiences seem to vary, but they've always got back to me fairly quickly.

    would agree - FB seems to be the best way of getting anything out of them - gave up on calling them months ago as it was driving me to frustration -

    did contact them about issue 30 and they said that there's going to be a mass-re-release with a future issue (33, I think) - so both subscribers and those who pick up at retail can get corrected versions.

    do fully agree with the niggles about quality - done right, this would truly be definitive - in current set-up it's a little half-arsed?

    I don't have facebook. I did try to make one recently but the email to confirm would never work and when I tried to get them to ring or text me the confirmation code it never came through so I gave up.

    They did get back to me via e-mail and I got a replacement. For book 71. Even though I told them and showed them a photo of book 60 which is the damaged one I need replacing. So I let them know they sent me the wrong book and they assured me they'd now send me the right one.
    Today I received a third book 71.

    This sounds very similar. They sent me 17 and 18, as expected. I never received 19 and 20 and waited for a while before pointing this out to them. I then received another 17 and 18. Sent it back, expecting to get the correct ones but never did, so had to ask for them, only to be told that they'd sent them to me but I'd returned them, so I couldn't have them. Went back and forth with no luck until finally screenshotting their invoices which make no mention of 19 and 20 but two cases of sending me 17 and 18!

    You'd think that's the matter solved, right? At first glance, yes:

    Three weeks later and I'm still waiting. And I've just realised I haven't received 29, 30, 31 or 32 yet either. What a total shambles this is.

    I'm not sending the spares they sent me back until I get the correct copy. If it comes to it I can then sell the spares they've sent me and use the money to get the book I need off ebay or somewhere.

    I sent them an email following my post yesterday. You know how my replacement (actually, not a replacement) 19 and 20 had "been sent" and were "currently in transit" in their email of February 13? How about this in my inbox a minute ago:

    Received my 5th copy of volume 71 today. Still no replacement for the actual volume that needs replacing.

    Also got volumes 72 and 75 yesterday along with Combat Colin issue 2.

    I keep hold of my duplicate issues, I’ve never sent them back as I don’t see why I should have to pay for their mistakes.

    How think company makes money is beyond me
