You were right. Captain Marvel Effects Team Works Magic on Samuel L Jackson In BTS Photo Samuel L Jackson, you poor sod.
I think Feige means that Captain Marvel would be the first hero that Fury encounters, NOT the first hero ever. Rogers was a Capsickle before Fury was even born, so it is safe to say that Fury considers him part of history. He probably thought that there would not be anyone else like Cap (although, it is strange that he would not know of Hank Pym as Ant-Man). Then Carol Danvers came along. At least, that's how I understood what Feige said. By the way, I don't remember any heroes in Agent Carter. Who do you mean?

One thing I’ve noticed about the Kree in the MCU compared to the comics, the comics portray the Kree as human in appearance. But then when EMH aired, they became blue skinned, a trend which the MCU continued. So I’m sure Mar-Vell will shed his human appearance at some point.
I think he is getting a lifecast because we are seeing a Skrull Nick Fury in the movie , they would use CG to de age him
Blue-skinned Kree have been in the comics since the '60s (Ronan the Accuser, most notably). I've never watched EMH, and I don't care for the fact they changed Mar-Vell to a blue-skinned Kree. He's not supposed to be.
They were blue skinned even back in the day, they just had Kree of both color. Now they are shown primarily Blue. Typically it was the higher ups like Ronin who were blue. By the80's and the 90's they were more often depicted as blue.
The Kree are a vast empire that's absorbed many different races. The blue-skinned guys are supposed to be the original Kree, the pink-skinned guys were from some other race they conquered a million years ago and incorporated into their society. Or maybe it was a dual-species kind of thing? I don't remember, though I do remember some stories about the pink-skinned Kree getting treated like an underclass.
Wikipedia was quite helpful with that. Despite being the majority, the pink skinned Kree are looked down upon. I honestly had no idea about this. EMH drilled the idea that the whole race was blue skinned into my head. I now wonder if it’ll be referenced in the movie?
