Again, it's all about what you do with your figures! If you're not into playing or setting them up in action sequences, you probably don't have a lot of need for civilians. But if you do, they're pretty handy. http://teletraanone.com/index.php/2017/01/31/adventures-of-stan-car-salesperson/
With the news about TRU, has anyone with Hasbro's ear asked what's to become of their upcoming exclusives or how they may be redistributed or what? By my count: Klaue and Shuri (I've seen it at one TRU, but it's also trickling out still) Scarlet Witch and Vision (MCU) Thor, Groot, Rocket (MCU) Wolverine and a Sentinel (Days of Future Past) Ant-man and Stinger (Comic) MCU 10th Iron Man 3 Box Set (Hot Rod Iron Man, Pepper Potts, Manderin) Also possibly the MCU 10th Thor Dark World (Thor and Sif) I know I'm in the minority, but I really want that Thor/Groot/Rocket set, so I'd like to know, plus I'd like to know in general. I also haven't heard anything about Entertainment Earth, I know they and TRU were closely associated with each other in terms of offering exclusives and the like.
Hasbro already said they aren't going to stop giving TRU exclusives just because they have some financial issues.
In case you missed it, there may not be a TRU in the US before the summer. No stores, no where for the product to go.
Even if they do, it's going to way more than "summer" before they can clear out all that stock. So I would imagine that everything up until the end of April is still going to be at TRU.
I highly doubt Hasbro, Mattel, et al will be sending new product to a chain that's in the liquidation phase of bankruptcy. That's a great way to not get paid. The point of liquidation is to sell off what they have to empty to the stores and recoup cash, so acquiring new stock somewhat defeats the purpose... If it's not already in the TRU warehouse, they're not getting it.
The Infinity War 2 pack still isn't in stock on TRU's website but they've updated the limit from 1 per customer to 5.
ARGH. I waited for two weeks - TWO WEEKS - for my Target to finally restock the Lizard wave, and when they do, I miss two of the three I still need. I was there last night and there were none on the shelf, and the guy told me they were put out this morning and gone in a snap.
I wish we still had the TRU in Harrisburg. If I want to stop by after work, I have to either drive 30 minutes further from home or 30 minutes past home. With the website being such a basket case, it's really difficult to spend money with them.
So is 90s Cable going to be crazy hard to get? Outside of 90s Deadpool, he's the only one I want from the wave as I'm sticking to the "90s X-teams" basically for my ML collection.
Walmart absolutely does get solid cases of leftovers. I thought about getting a female Beetle for a head swap but I never know when that's doable or not. I'd be interested in TV Supergirl if any of them had decent paint. Around here, the only ones we got had their hair glued on so far back they looked like Red Foreman.
