I think the reason we don't have the NES Classics is due to production. The Switch is the flagship console in massive demand worldwide and they' did a good job meeting it in North America. The also have a new product which is the SNES Classic. Nintendo NA is also trying to meet demand and try not to repeat the same mistakes as it's predecessor.. Again for the most part, they're doing a good job at that. Don't forget Amiibo's and accessories. Nintendo have to shift productions on it's other products to produce the NES Classic from it's factories.

Since the holidays is over, but the demand is still there. Usually late winter is a slow period in video games, but Nintendo continue to release games throughout the period to produce interest. We probably won't see the NES Classis back in the shelves until the second half of 2018.

It would be nice if they would produce more of the controllers to purchase as well, as I'm still looking for a second controller that I'm satisfied with.

Bucky O'Hare is amazing! I'd have to give it a top 10 spot for the whole system at this point. I'm still working on beating it, though. I got sidetracked with my SNES classic lol.

Is the "snake thing" the part where you have to race down to the bottom of the cave before the lava trails can catch you? That was the hardest part for me yet. I must have died like 30 times. Good thing there are save states!

Metal Storm is really great too. It feels almost good enough to be a SNES game.

It definitely has a very weird plot from what I have seen so far. I like the gameplay a lot though.

    Good picks!

I don't recall knowing about any of these games until I started going through everything to put on my NES Classic. I think I have them all on the system now, but will double check. I known for sure I have Power Blade, Totally Rad, XEXYZ and Sunman. I've only tested a level or two for each one so far though. I'm looking forward to playing them after I beat Bucky O'Hare.

Thanks! I got that one for sure. It looks great from my quick test run. It's another one I want to play all the way through soon.

I just checked the system, and looks like I just need to add Whomp 'Em

Oh yeah! That boss was really hard too. Great game! It's fun to be so excited about a game that is now 26 years old.

Oh wow! I just checked out "Whomp 'Em" on youtube, and that looks amazing. I think I passed over it earlier because of the kind of unfortunate name/cover. I'm definitely adding that to the system. I can never have enough platformers.

You'll like Whomp em. It's a strange, but solid little platformer. Little Eagle controls really well. Its easy to max his levels and the levels contain some ah...interesting scenery.

I'd strongly suggest Crystalis, Faxanadu, The Guardian Legend, Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom, Deja Vu, Maniac Mansion, Monster Party and Magic of Scheherazade.

Thanks! I have The Guardian Legend and Princes Tomato, but will check the others out. I'm not too crazy about RPGs usually, but give them a try when there is enough hype.

It's one of the various mutated offspring of the Wonder Boy series. So if you're familiar with those, you'll have some idea of what you're getting.

I can second most of these. I've normally skipped Deja Vu and Maniac Mansion on the NES because I have access to various home computer versions that are easier to play, but the games themselves are classic on any platform. Grab Crystalis even if you're not into RPGs. It basically plays like Secret of Mana, or Zelda 1/3/Link's Awakening with an experience system.

I still have not decided on what to do with my second NES Classic that I won during an Autism Fundraiser. However, my sister just Skyped me and told me her boyfriend is looking for Retro Video Games. Should I?

I recently built a retropie and almost kind of find these obsolete. I can easily toggle from NES, SNES, PSX, N64, Genesis and play whatever games I want. Still, you can't beat the nostalgia of it all.

I picked up the My Arcade wired controller from amazon for $10. I really like it cause it's got a "home" button to go back to the list of games.
