The foot is visible here next to Inferno's leg. It's clearly the mold from Starscream/Elita.

Most definitely a mistake but odd nonetheless, considering the loose figure has the Abominus foot mold.

Well , that`s up setting... Surely the Boxed sample is just a mistake ? I can barely stomach seeing this HOTSPOT mold used yet again , now seeing that he will be possibly coming with feet that are getting used repeatedly sort of turns me off completely ... He really does look better with the ABOMINUS feet ... And now knowing he is one of the last POTP toys means the heat is on for me to purchase him... I am really hoping POTP has a 4th Wave of Voyagers... Warden aid every thing went only 4 waves deep , aside Leaders, they stop at wave 3 :(  So cheers every one , to a 4th wave of POTP Voyagers... Lets hope we get a new mold ... God please give us at least 1 new mold .. :)

Wait, I know Hasbro will replace any thing you buy if it`s damaged , ect ... But if you do end up with these feet would Hasbro mail you the correct feet some how ? There has to be a way to just get a piece or a couple of missing parts , right ?

Yeah, supposedly they remolded the part of the figure where the lower leg connects to the hip area to form the thigh of the combiner. I'll see if I can get some pics for you later. This was a change that was made for the mold after Onslaught and Hot Spot hit shelves.

Actually, the Elita/SS foot would be better, since it has the flip-down 5mm peg underneath. The Abominus foot does not have this, so you can't actually have Inferno hold it like in the box photo!

From memory there's a tab on the thigh that fits into an open ended slot on the earlier uses of the mould. The slot is boxed in, limiting the tab's movement on later versions.

Doesn't stop them leaning forward though, which is the major problem I'd had with Hotspot/Onslaught in Defensor/Bruticus modes.

My CW Defensor also wanted to pop his chest armour off the shoulders if you looked at it funny or, heaven forbid, turn the arms at the shoulders! UW Defensor was better, but not good, and the changed chest armour on Victorion/Megatronia held even better still. Be interesting to see how Inferno's Torso mode behaves in this respect.

I just want to know if the retooled the combiner chest to have an enigma receptacle.

Also has it been pointed out that that is the Terrorcon EoC?

If the toy in-package has those feet...those would seem to be the feet he's getting. Mostly because that plastic had to be molded to *fit* those feet (the ones with Hun-Gurr don't have the same shape).

Fits with the theme of Inferno being a really late addition/change to the release plan.

And that he has an enigma, but nowhere on the combined chest to place it...

I was mistaken, this change wasn't on Pyra Magna, but it is on her redeco, MegaEmpress. Scroll down to ma70er's post on the link below to check it out for yourself. There are pics.

Have we *seen* the combined chest in pics/person? So far we've only seen art.

Very interesting... They would be crazy not to use the better molding on Inferno . Thanx for the share .

No problem. If Inferno has this molding, I'll have to pick him up for sure, it'd be my first experience with the new tooling.
