That goes in several levels. Notice the cluster of FT items in June. The chances of FT releasing 4 items in a row in consecutive days is zero.

there is stuff coming out. its just like they arent being given estimated dates anymore. of course all the movie and beast stuff is written in invisible ink for me.... i just dont see it

 

I kind of agree with this. Between Hasbro, TT and 3P Seasons 1-3 have been mined out the wazoo, save for a few stragglers. Most people's nostalgia doesn't reach past Headmasters/Rebirth, and barely anyone is clamoring for the toy only figures.

I feel like everyone is kind of watching to see which big trend catches fire now. There seems to be quite a few random potshots in the dark, with MakeToys Armada Starscream, the "Beastformers", PE's foray into Transmetal Beast Wars, MAAS Toy's arguably random flailing to all corners of the canon, and Fans Hobby's dedication to the Late 80's section of the toyline. However, the big guns seem kind of quiet regarding any sort of dedication towards any big new direction.

'Cept for MMC I guess, since they seem to have a deadlock on IDW.

 

I don't think even FansToys knows when most of their stuff is due.

 

The slot is what allows the mold to create the enclosure. You'll see with balljoints and mushroom pegs how the slot aligns with the nubs on the inside that create the "C" clip shape. The mold needs to be able to "pinch" the plastic from behind to fully mold those parts. Without the locking nubs, you'd get a "U"-shaped socket instead, allowing the parts to slide right out.

 

LOL. I'm just bitter because I'm a Blitzwing fan and Berserk was announced before Rouge and Koot (and possibly Apache?) and yet he'll be released after all of them.

It makes me want to yell "DALIANJJ!!!"

 

At least there's light at the end of tunnel for you. I haven't even gotten on the train yet.

 

Keep the faith. It's gotta happen eventually. Hopefully Berserk sells well enough that they keep going with the triple changers.

Are there any pics of Rouge straight on from behind? Just curious how the backpack cleans up. I know there are plenty from the side.

 

You know, I don't think there are many shots of ANY figure from the back, much less Rouge. Never thought of that until now.

 

Dunno .There's still lots of room for combiners (at five figures each that's a good 30 or 40 individual robots)
Plus there's a fair number from Season 3 untouched .And Beast Wars, IDW...
I think there's easily another 5 years just closing off G1 and kicking off Beast Wars stuff .
IDW is a whole other ball game which is accelerating rapidly .

 

So when is Fanstoys's Rouge going to come out now? Around next month,May or around the summertime?

 

Next month remains the best estimate. Baba should just put up the preorders already.

 

To my knowledge: It's not comprehensive so don't read too much into it. It's also been quieter lately due to the CNY break, so there have been fewer updates than usual. There are some pre-orders that aren't on it yet and there's a bunch of stuff that's just placeholder dates (like those four FT items) that get pushed out every couple weeks because there's no actual ship date yet known. Best bet is to look at the next couple weeks and that may give a relatively good idea of what to expect inbound in the near future -- however, there are some distributors and manufacturers that aren't the best at providing shipping notice or tracking numbers, so things can get added last minute or the day they arrive.

 

That's true, although I feel like a lot of big announcements blasted out in 2nd and 3rd quarter 2017 and have yet to materialize, with only a few announcements of any big projects in the last few months. That could just be perception though. Or maybe fatigue. I mean, while I'm very happy that I'll eventually be able to get rid of Uranous at some point, I think I might be worn down on MP Combiner announcements.

 

Yeah. That plus the fact that Berserk's robot mode looks kinda meh (the pauldrons are all wrong) finally convinced me not to wait for Berserk and just get KFC Ditka instead.

So do we actually think Rouge is coming soon then? I mean we haven't even hit her first release date yet. Isn't it more likely with ft that we've got a few more months and at least two more release dates before she comes out?

Yeah, pretty much. Honestly, should have been doable at the MP scale, either by casting some cover armour, or by building two-part sockets instead of single-part. What that does, though, is doubles the parts count for a lot of those areas and may balloon the production costs rapidly if additional molds need to be cast, so this might just be economizing.
