Okay. That torso looks a *lot* better seeing it in these pics. The black detailing with the blue/black jet parts work well in bot mode.

 

Really digging it. Though I still wish they'd include the thunderwing titan master with it.

Repaint don't look bad... face is ass tho.

Wish this jet was more of a VTOL type (I'm no expert' maybe it is. I dunno) then we could get a Thrust repaint.

Not if you like Bugly like I do. Bugly is my favorite Pretender so I can't wait to get this for a custom. This face looks exactly like a movie version of Bugly to me.

Or, you know, G1 THUNDERCRACKER? Incidentally, TFWiki suggests that Darksteel's colours, due to the orange face (which this version of, nor G1 Thundercracker, doesn't have), are based upon TF Prime - Breakdown.

I rather liked the G1-meets film demonic seeker heads. I can't stand the new one, so I'm glad I can pop it off and throw it away like the waste of plastic it truly is.

Why? This isn't a release of Thunderwing. It would have made more sense to include a recolour of Ghost Starscream, if anything.

 

I just got this mold in Nitro, looks great with a shuffler head. Now I just need a good blue head for this

 

I mean, I figure we should be used to movie characters not resembling past versions by now, but Thundercracker does somewhat resemble Movie Starscream, so I think that's the angle they went for here.

Really reminds me of those movie 1 and 2 days with the more diverse selection and remolds with G1 paint apps thrown in too.

With the Bumblebee movie coming up and him having a VW Beetle form, and Evasion mode prime being the old truck style, kind of makes me want a red Ironhide, G1 toon colors ratchet, that Target G1 colors Jazz, and this Thundercracker too.

There's something really kind of neat about having the movie cast in G1 colors or alt-modes when applicable like for Bee and Prime. Wouldn't mind redoing my movie collection to fit that. Glad I kept movie 1 Arcee. She'd fit right in there and then you'd literally have G1 colored movie forms with TF Prime characters selection too. Hound really is kind of a bearded Bulkhead. And DOTM did have that Wheeljack retool too.
