Had them too for the waist right. In all fairness I never installed them. Knees and ankles were floppy also. I wasn’t trying to rebuild a whole figure.

I disagree massively. KO inferno is trash tier compared to backdraft.

Feel like I'd like this guy a lot more if I could swap in the second head, but I've pretty much given up on that stripped screw... :(

Have you tried to remove the screw with a rubber band? It usually works pretty well in my experience.

Check this video out to see how it is done.

Try using a flathead screwdriver. If that doesn't work initially, try heating the screw slightly, with a soldering iron (just 5-10 seconds at most), and quickly try the flathead screwdriver again. If it doesn't work the first time, carefully repeat the process, eventually you'll either form a groove to grip the screw, OR the plastic will warm enough to let go of the screw and give way. I rarely use a Philips head screwdriver anymore because of the cheap crap Hasbro screws, and a flathead does at least as effectively, if not better for the same reason.

    Hope this helps.

*Also, if you do not have a soldering iron, use a hair dryer to instead, heat the plastic around the screw area, (for 30-45 seconds at a time), and using the flathead technique again, try turning the screw. The plastic should safely heat up a "soften" just enough to turn loose of the screw, little by little. If you have to go this route, and you get zero grippable surface for the flathead, drop a tiny dab of super glue in the screw head and let it harden up almost completely, then make an indention with the flathead. After it's fully hardened up, heat the plastic again and have at it. Eventually, you should have some success.

Go to your hardware store and get a stripped screw removal bit in the size you need to get that out. They're designed to go in a drill but you can do it manually or just really slow with your drill. It basically chews into the head of the screw and grabs it and backs it out. They're really cheap and will take care of this for you (it's like buying a single drill bit in cost or a small set depending how they sell them). Only down side is it will destroy the screw so you'll need a new one when you're done.

BC's Trailbreaker and Hoist get a lot of flack for their legs but personally I think the two of them just ooze the characters personality when I look at them. They are highly underappreciated IMO. Doesn't help they were the first out and lost the "Oooo shiny" thing that happens when newer versions comes out. ("This is newer...it's clearly superior and this old one is trash")

I would have to see a REALLY amazing TT version for me to replace mine in my collection.

See, I have their Grapple and have the chance of buying MT's Inferno (Hellfire) but this photo reminds me how good this mould is. It nails the toy feel so very well and I love that. MT's is just a bit too chunky, same as their Pandinus, Gundog, Despotron, etc.

I've been thinking of getting one.

Yeah tried the flathead also, no dice. No soldering iron or anything like that unfortunately, I'm reluctant to try anything like the hairdryer that might interfere with the plastic. Think I'd rather leave the default head on than take the chance.

I don't have this figure but does the replacement head come complete...like the screw and more importantly, the whole head assembly? If it does and you don't reuse any of the old head parts, you could just take a small drill bit and drill the head off the existing screw, separate it, and then just take the old head off that way. Especially if it's gonna come down to "pick one or the other" and you like the other better.

That said, I still think the stripped screw bit will do the job for you. I have a set and they work wonders on this sort of stuff.

Just trying to think of options for you. Could always contact the vendor or perhaps MMC and see if they'll send you another head. Also if you don't go the screw removal bit way, you could ask in the BST thread here and just ask if anyone is will to part with the spare head. Might be someone out there with one in a box they don't really want. I know I've gotten parts I needed that way here.

I was talking about OX PS-03 BACKDFRAFT (for the spare parts) :)
KO is out of my consideration range (we won't discuss here the leggit of KO versus 3p versus original IP)...
Backdraft wowed me once I received my sample : poseability, weight (you know it counts :p  ), proportions...
I am diging the aesthetic (Kuddo to AK and Jesslyn for the work achieved) greatly inserted
between OX studio style, G1 toy and Japanese canons during this great design and cartoon era.
The versus people are battling here (too much) about MP Inferno versus Backdraft is nonsense.
I am not saying that because I am part of MMC crew, it's same thought for any 3p designs
versus MP v3 ("Sunbow deformed" character model sheets).
To me, it's like debating about Gobots versus Revenge of chronos.
Gobots where fun (and toys far better than the cartoon) and Revenge of Chronos was so cool (and superior to ME)
because of the aesthetic very graphic, stylized and dynamic... Here comes Action Toys now ;)
    ...
I have also MP Inferno. I like him a lot, more for the engineering (the ladder !) than the aesthetic.
But I admit the cartoon stylization is a kind of design achievement from Takara.
I only regret there where not consistent in MP line by making a kind of huge change in design.
I wonder why no 3p company did not reboot in cartoon style the MP characters done before MP Inferno ? (in fact I know : cost, interests, collector budget slots...).

Off topic : I am very excited by the takes on Menasor XTB and DX9 are going.
    Diversity !
