I\'m one of those who doesn\'t like this Predaking so I won\'t be buying it. After seeing it I was disappointed cuz I expected something different from Hasbro. I was really expecting something along the lines of simplified MMC instead of G1 with more articulation . I was thinking it would be Predaking from the mobile app game

 

I'm more interested in this G1 bag. Where can I get it from an Internet store or a specialized store? 

 

Y'know, I wasn't really defending this Predaking. It's objectively better than the G1 toy, but that's it. There's nothing creative or new here, and the legmen do have whole thighs on their backs. Should've gone straight Combiner Wars, and so should've Devy. At most, guys like these should've had special two-packs of their multibot-torsos, since Hook is worthless without a Longhaul unless you work in a limb mode, for instance.
Predaking is not a hitfire.

 

Whats going on inside of Tantrums chest?  I think i see a TM seat and a Matrix.  Oh and the back of the box shows the feet being used as over the shoulder guns....Im starting to like this.

 

Predaking is horrible. the g1 design beats this one for sure imo. So many cut corners and weird design decisions like the thighs on the backs and that weird waist. not to mention the g1 looks better colorwise as well as it pops more. glad ill be saving some money!

They might as well have just made the combined parts extra pieces if they couldn't figure out what to do with all the extra mass. They couldn't come up with anything clever like they did with Devastator? That design was very decent considering the budget they had.. Some very clever design choices.

This, it looks like they didn't even try. I was stoked about this guy when I first heard hes coming. I put him too high on the pedestal I suppose.

Predaking is by far the best Combiner from Hasbro and Takara. Great job! I'm impressed how symmetrical is the robot.

A MUST HAVE

 

On the contrary, I think integrating all the combined kibble into the individual bots was a conscious design choice made likely by Hasbro. Shogo Hasui probably had some sleepless nights to figure out how to best integrate those bits, within this already limited budget (five fully functional Voyager figures being able to combine). To make things worse there’s only five components compared to Devastator’s six, and Razorclaw is the same size as the limbs, meaning there’s extra combiner kibble that needs to go somewhere. So imo saying that “they didn’t even try” is surely an unfair judgement. And I personally think Hasui’s done a great job again working within very limited confines to deliver another great Titan combiner. I will show my appreciation for the effort that’s gone into the design with my wallet.

 

Predaking looks great and for $150 yea I’m copping for sure. Ima just wait for someone on shapeways to make swords and guns and I’m happy.

 

...i’m - not convinced that those predacons are a substantial improvement over the originals, and that disappoints me...

 

when will hasbro learn, the torso bot must be a size larger than the limb bots to make it work. devastator was at least 6, so theoretically they could have made razorclaw a bit bigger to accomodate the extra limb parts as opposed to forcing them in those ghastly thigh parts for the leg bots and to avoid partsforming the waist. Just horrible design decisions.

 

The predaking looks like a simplified KO of a masterpiece predaking. That’s a shame.

He looks exactly to the same quality as Devastator if not better. I feel like any time a mainline figure is compared to an MP it's a win. It makes me wonder what people were honestly expecting out of a figure this size and this price.

Lol, Hasbro listened to every one bitching about how long haul was too big to be a Voyager , and now Every one is bitching about how Razerclaw is not bigger ...I find it hilarious that most folks , even though they claim they hate this will still end up buying it...And oh how the tunes will change ...I for one love the G1 , as well as this version...Contrary to the statements this is lazy and not interesting , it is very interesting , as well as genius in design...This puppy was in no way a simple task... GOOD JOB Hasbro   Haters gonna hate regardless .

 

Pretty sure that only Rattrap shelfwarmed, but I believe that whole wave shelfwarmed and Rattrap still sold decently. I have one and like him a lot.

Why the crap would you be expecting an MMC style? That’s 3rd Party and Hasbro always goes for close to G1 with G1 characters.

How are these not a step up from the G1 toys? I have original die cast Predaking from the 80s and the mere fact that they have articulation, and they have integrated combiner parts are cool. Only thing that sucks is no giant sword (but I always like his arm cannon better anyway) and individual guns but we going to have 3rd party for that. Can’t wait for this. Some of the 3rd party figures are expensive and plagued with QC problems and design flaws just like Hasbro. It’s worst when you spending $100 or so for EACH component. Hasbro maybe “cheaper” but they put love and thought into their products as much as they can given their circumstances.

 

Not at all. A mainline figure is a mainline figure. A simplified KO is just that. CW devastator is leaps better than this.
