When they made Action Masters I actually wished for them to also release the alt modes just as cars. So that you could have representations in both modes.

Do they also make Hot Rod?

I didn't see it earlier but it looks like the front page post was updated with an image of the Peterbilt. He looks really good so far! Is it weird I'm somewhat excited for a nontransforming figure?

 

That does look great. Only inaccuracy that I can see is no chrome windshield trim.

 

Welp, I guess life isn't perfect. Still, I think it may be the best Prime in terms of paint accuracy. It's difficult to tell clearly.

 

Oh it's gorgeous i wonder why they haven't done this.

 

It's perfect enough. Now I'm going to have to get the western star prime to go with it.

Damn, every time I think I can save some collectin\' money, something new comes out.  I am a sucker for Hot Wheels type collectables...

 

If the pricepoint is in line with other Jada vehicles, I could see getting the 1:64th vehicles easily. The appeal of having actual Transformers vehicle modes interspersed with Hot Wheels and the like is a lot of fun.

 

I'm here for Optimus in his various alt modes but that Peterbilt.   My favorite of his alt modes. And Bee, can't forget him.

I've been wanting Hot Wheels G1 Transformers cars for years. Hope they end up doing the Stunticons as well.

 

I know they've been planning a part 2 since forever (Jay Chou and Ryosuke's actor both expressed interest in a sequel), but has it actually taken off/gotten more official confirmation?

 

The great thing about exploiting this license is that a lot of the G1 cars are traditional sports and race cars, so it's just about nabbing the right licenses to cover all of them. For the Stunticons, they already have a Lamborghini license, and Motormaster's alt mode should be covered under the license they have on Optimus, but they'd need Porsche, Ferrari, and Tyrell licenses as well - that's the one great thing about Hot Wheels, they have EVERYBODY'S license already. Still, there's hope that this can work, Porsche might not be hard to work out given they have a license with another arm at VW. Would the sales be there to justify the new toolings? They're pretty iconic cars to exploit, I think it'd be a safe investment. Who is needed for the pre-movie G1 crew?
