Late to the party as usual. Anyone had any bargains at Toys R Us?

Decided to gather together all my Lost Lighters. It's not that many to be honest. While it remains my favourite comic series (still running) I don't find the idea of building a collection around it all that compelling. Still, I do appreciate these versions of Megatron, Brainstorm and Chromedome's head.

EDIT: Holy shit that's a crap photo. Sorry. I need to stop trying to do these wide shots on my phone. It really doesn't work.

Well, today I had my first interview in 13 years and it seemingly went well. Been invited back for a second interview in a week and a half and I am buzzing right now at the prospect of a new challenge!
    #gome!

Only drawback, got to wait a week and a half to find out more!

Nice one, my well coiffured man! I've had some nightmarish ones, so it is nice when one goes down well. Fingers crossed for you.

I totally get what you think. About the same for me. I realise that I have some nice and pretty 3P for that group (thank you MMC). But they are here more as display figs than real transforming ones. And without being a scale mad guy I find most of generation standard figs to be not what I’d like design and scale wise (Chromedome is the perfect example).
So this group will grow. But very slowly I think. Is also surprises me than there aren’t so many 3P on the Lost Light train.

I actually thought Maketoys brief forays into Lost Light/MTMTE stuff were great - Swerve and Tailgate, and My First Blaster and drinks tray etc.

A good set of accessories can really lift a figure, especially a comic character where there is so much backstory than the MP "remember that one thing in that one episode" fashion.

I mean more that - while I like the Alex Milne aesthetic, I don't want the collection to be based around it. It's two specific to one version, and I prefer 'generic', adaptable designs that lend themselves to any and all versions of a character. It's the same reason I'm the only idiot who prefers TR Blurr to LG Blurr. The latter is only the G1 cartoon version, where the former can be any Blurr ever.

I went in to the bookshop today, walking several miles in the snow (kids these days don't know they're born...). We closed after a couple of hours, because no customers.

Still, coffee was had and enjoyed, and it was good to be out of the house even if it does feel like start of a new ice age out there.

Also, have todays obligatory 'toy in the snow' pic.

This shows sale prices: http://www.toysrus.co.uk/toys/closing-down-sale - 20% off TFs. Everything will likely come down further as time rolls on but obviously the stock will dwindle! I popped up to Luton today (as Watford, previously earmarked for closure, is pretty much cleaned out already and just a bit of tat left) - quite a few people in there. Bought some Sylvanian Families stuff for the kids (only 10% off but I was feeling soft) and a 3DS game (20% off an already discounted price) so was happy - no TFs I wanted nor was I tempted by a tiny 10% off Lego. Slightly sad feeling especially as Luton was one of the 'done up' stores - TRU have never really had the best prices but I have fond memories stretching back over years of buying from them - particularly major stuff like Armada Unicron!

    That a salt trooper?

I'm pondering. I have a senator ratbat face from shapeways from an aborted custom and a spare tr misfire. Should i make an oc out of them called Fangwing or just sell misfire and leave the face in the parts box? How well does tr misfire sell these days?

And when was sunstreaker a lost lighter? Thought he stayed on Cybertron.

Thanks guys, it will mean a fairly significant pay decrease but I am hoping i will be a lot happier and less stressed out at work and home as a result.

He was a background character in season 1, and stayed behind after Dark Cybertron. His main appearance was in Spotlight: Hoist

So I think Slug can do ''The Run"?

Not sure it's #mazapproved, but I love this little chunk of plastic loveliness. Of the three ToTP Dinobots, I think he is the best. Probably because swoop is a floppy mess :(

I couldn't estimate a price for Mrs Fire, but I would imagine there's a fair few people - probably on this thread - who would appreciate the chance to get their hands on him.

As for Sunstreaker, he was in the initial crew along with Bob The Insecticon, but stayed behind on Cybertron after the Dark Cybertron crossover.

My only complaint about a Lost Light collection is: It becomes harder and harder to make a (nice) groupshot. Curse you, space ! Can't even fill Highbrow and Blaster in and Brainstorm had to be the little one but...
... Appart from that ? I LOVE it.

Can't wait for POTP Wave 5 to hit with Velocity, Red Alert, Crankcase, Flywheels, Spinister, Pharma, a new Ratchet, and of course a SDDC exclusive boxset of Ambulon and comatose Backstreet.

Also, mille bisous to @nice sideburns.

I had him and liked him a LOT more than G1 Galvatron. What a piece of shit that toy was. Terrible fugly alt-mode and a stupid looking totally unposeable robot mode. Absolutely pointless.
