Picked up the RS Gypsy Avenger, and took some pics. So far I'm really digging it, and I'll probably go back to get the others.
Gave up on amazon and cancelled my preorder for Gipsy Avenger because I found it at TRU just now (had to get it pulled from the back though). Can't wait to open this thing!
Yeah, yesterday my order said it was arriving today. When I checked on it today I got notified that the order needs an approval. What I need to approve is that now there is no shipping date and Amazon will email me when they have a shipping date. How does this happen?
same happened to me. basically they sold more than they stock they were going to be receiving. so basically they dont know when they will have more in stock yet. im going to order elsewhere (and pay more) but cancel my order from them. i was SO mad. contacted them and they just said there was a huge rush of orders, so they sold too many
I contacted them and got some canned response about "the seller thought they would have the stock, but they don't". They then said I could cancel the order and suggested that I place the order with another seller on Amazon. They even recommended that the new seller have "Sold or Fulfilled by Amazon" in their product description. But here's the thing. I bought it through Amazon Services, Inc. Is that not Amazon? I preordered in July. Do I not get some type of seniority bonus because of my preorder date? Did they have seven months of preorders that they can't fulfill? Why did they tell me the order was shipped if there wasn't even stock? At any rate, I approved the changes although they have no idea when they'll get the stock. If I can find wave 1 somewhere else I'll get it and cancel my Amazon order. They have handled this poorly.
Ok. First impressions on the SOC GX-77... Good: -- It's heavy. -- It's damn metal! At least in places like chest, collar, inner joints, pelvis and inner frame, I think. Some panels (front thighs/shin) are metal. Rest are hard plastic. -- Waist/torso joints are tight right now out of the box. -- Thigh pistons move when you bend the knees. -- Wings (shoulder and back) movable. -- Shoulder Wings swing in and out. -- small back wings pegs into a ball joint connector. -- Great coloring. -- Great balance. -- Excellent shelf presence. Not quite so good: -- quite panel-y. lots of panels/paneling. -- limited neck movements/articulation. Look Up is ok. Look-down is limited. Can't really turn head to look sideways. (head is completely removable, tho). -- Elbow-Rocket is not spring-loaded. Just simple extensible elbow/arm feature. -- will really need to swing the shoulder-wings out when articulating the shoulders, as accidental breakage may occur coz of the bad stuff below. Bad: -- Shoulder-Wings have a tiny connector-joint. Looks delicate and easily breakable by accident. Be mindful of it! Other observations: -- Barely any clicky sounds. Knee, underarm, and pelvic joints kinda make some very soft pseudo-clicky sounds.
War ready. I'm liking the idea of budget import releases like the Pacific Rim RD figures and the upcoming Figuarts Goku.
Waiting for the ParRimPla! (PacPla?) .. the models. next time I go into town, I'm definitely knocking over what's left of my local TRU to see if they've got Gipsy RD.
Okay guys so I have some dumb questions since I'm not really familiar with Robot Spirits/Robot Damashii. I was thinking of getting some of these, but on HLJ, they have some figures listed as "HG" and some figures as Robot Damashiis. Some are the same character and a little cheaper. There also doesn't seem to be a Gypsy Avenger Robot Damashii, only an HG version. So, what is the difference between HG and Robot Damashii?
